[Everquest] wiki templateFollow

everytime I want to edit a new wiki entry I have go look up the temaplate format.

Any way you can add a link to the page I'm editing to pop up a help page on the template? Or perhaps put a default template on blank entries?

I have asked for Template links, but this is really only doable for editing a wiki page that are in a wikified db, such as EQ_Quest: or FR_Place:. For general wiki pages the best we could do would be to put a link to the Templates category.

But, I suspect that neither of these is gonna happen soon. I keep bookmarks to the template categories for each game and use a second tab to pull up the template skeleton I need.

Thanks!

I put a copy of the wiki format in my journal, which I just started to use.

'Nother template question -

This guide says that adding {{everquest|g}} to a page includes it in the EQ_Guides category. DoN Cultural Armor guide is the only page I know of that uses this so far, but this page ends up in the Guides_(EG) category. Minor typo sort of thing to be quibbling over, but I wondered which category guides should be going into, for the sake of consistency across gamespaces.

Actually, no. A short time ago I changed the naming scheme for many different auto-created categories across all the games and that was one. I will see if I can correct the docs, too.

ok, the trick is this...

The Docs template for GameTag is keying off the Admin Pages category. IF it sees that "gameid Admin Pages" exists it assumes all the top categories are in that format. If not, it assumes they are like "Lore (gameid)". Looks like the cats for EQ is both, right now. Some are one way, some are the other. It will take me some time to get that fixed.
