In super lame man terms where do i paste this

(Posting here as well so anyone wondering the same thing can get an answer.) Ideally it should go just before the </body> tag at the end of the page. With things like forums and blog software you'll probably want to edit some sort of "footer" template. If you don't find a </body> tag, don't worry, just place it as close to the end of the page as you can.

Is it possible to get this to work on a Proboards site? I listed some of the items for FFXIV, and I'd like to have the tooltips show up.

I'm not sure, as I'm not familiar with them. Looking at their site it appears they host the forum software for you, so you may not be able to do this. See if in their forum setup area there's anywhere you can add custom code if my instructions immediately above don't work.

I couldn't find much of a forum setup area, let alone anything about custom code. Thanks anyway.

If you linked to where you added it, we might be able to help.

Your Tooltip is awesome. I am having some issues which I think it's because of my Wordpress them, but just wondering if you can help.

here is a link to the test page.

As you can see the tooltip seems to be taking on my css background on some of the areas. Can anyone help me adjust this?

Thanks.

I have added to http://www.zam.com/wiki/Tooltips installation instructions for Mediawiki, wordpress and static html pages. Joomla and much more are planned. If you want your platform short-listed or if you know how to already, post here and i'll try my best to add it asap.

Joomla 1.5 Installation instructions have been added also, if you know of an easier way for admins to add these tooltips to their platforms im more than happy to hear your ideas to improve the ease of use for installing.

Thanks

i'm having trouble getting this to work with Joomla 1.5 i followed the directions above and added the custom html to the module manager although i notice two things that won't stay the same. after setting the Order to "2:footer", it changes itself to "3:zam tooltips" (which is what the instructions told me to set the 'title' to). also, when i click the html button the code changes itself from

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://common.allakhazam.com/shared/zampower.js"></script>

to

<script src="http://common.allakhazam.com/shared/zampower.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

when i try to link an item in a new article, it just acts like a standard link...

For Rift, where do you find the item id to insert into the usage?

What kind of tooltips are you trying to display for rift?

All you need to do is link to a page which supports tooltips on a page that includes our zampower.js file. These pages would be achievements, abilities and soul builds.

Well, this is the problem I am having.

A) Where do I find the RIFT item IDs? Has this database just not been developed?

B) What is the usage? There are no examples for RIFT. The example on the website is for WAR. For instance, taking the syntax of the example provided

{url=http://war.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?waritem=402307}Purloined Gown{/url}

should I use

{url=http://rift.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?riftitem=402307}Example Gear{/url}

where I replaced war.allakhazam.com with rift.allakhazam.com and replaced waritem with riftitem.

I do know that I have the script installed correctly because the raw html link works, ie, http://rift.zam.com/en/ability/55959725/Bull-Rush .

My end result will be BBCode that my guildies can use on our phpBB forum.

Note: I replaced the brackets above with curly brackets so that the BBCode parser wouldn't pick it up.

Datum73,

We do not yet have an item database for rift. As soon as one is available you'll be able to locate item ids the same way you locate ability ids now and tooltips for items will work.

Thanks,

Tooltips for rift are supported for items, collections, recipes, abilities and soul tree builds at this time.

Howdy, thanks for the option.

I've added this to my SMF 2.0RC install. The code works above </body> in /Themes/theme/index.template.php for anybody who cares :)

I'm wondering if you have any ideas, or if somebody is also experiencing this:

Rift tooltips are faded, where other game tooltips are not, as seen here.

However, in a boring old plain html file, they are all fine.

This persists across both default themes and custom.

Regardless, thanks :)

Hello!

Rift Itemstats Works fine in SMF 2.0 RC5 here

Possible bugs:

Item name is yellow in all items. Even in Rare and Epic items
