Do they work yet?
I just don't feel like I'm rating someone down when I click them.

Depends on the stylesheet you're on, but assuming you've got the refreshed copy of shared/common.js, they should work for you. Try rating a message in the middle of a thread (one that wouldn't normally have a subject showing on it)

They don't work with the News layout. I don't know who decided this was a good idea, and I'm not trying to pick a fight' but this "new layout" sucks worse than a Hoover vacuum.

Found the problem, thanks - non admins were running into some bugs.

What exactly do you not like about the changes? I've removed the line between userinfo and post content because of a css issue, and I think it ultimately looks much cleaner.

Aside from that, rating posts should be easier and quicker to see results if yours was the tipping rate.

Minor bug I've noticed on the news layout.
When you rate someone, if they have a picture in their sig, it dissappears and you see the code for it instead.
Also, the rating for that post jumps from under their avatar to above.
I actually SORTA like that because it makes me feel like I did something.
It all goes back to normal after the thread is reloaded, so it's really just a minor cosmetic thing.

the black line seperating the avatar and the post/signatures only extends to the bottom of the signature, it should extend to the bottom of the posts (noticable in short posts)

on thread topic: i like the buttons, theyre nice and instant, however, when you have a lot of page refreshes that will lag down your bandwidth here ;;

Edit: yay 666 posts! [:canigetadevilsmileyplease?:]

Edit#2:looking @ my sig, the quote backgrounds are offset as well >.>

Edit#3:where it says Posted: timeofpost and Posting from [whereveryouput], those lines are sliding to the left of the page as you scroll down the thread :O SPOOKY WEIRD.

Lotsa stuffs looks better. Only 2 things I can see right now that I really want to be changed. :p

1. Fix the stuff like "Add to address book" and my 10k title so that they only tkae up one line again ;-;

2. If possible remove the minimum post height thingy.

Ugh, with this not only can I not rate people, but my layout is all messed up. Lines going out of format, etc. 1 sec and I'll post a pic.

Not sure why but for me it seems to be inserting about 10 blank lines at the top of each reply.

Speaking of those nifty little rate buttons, could you space them out just a touch? I've already mis-rated a number of posts because they're so close to each other.

I love getting rated down for posting a couple pics showing a problem with site layout :p

Editted because after I said that, I got rated back up!

I really, really hate the new rate up/down buttons. It's way to easy to rate someone the wrong way accidentally and then you can't change it. It's also very easy to rate someone when you didn't want to in the first place. I think the drop down list with it's separate submit button was much safer.

from the poster's name to the "link to this post" link, all i get is a big empty space, and the text all starts below that....

and the links(new topic, reply, etc) are all white color'd and my computer screen burnt eyes can see them >_>

sorry, this new layout sucks ><;;

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

Only suggestion I have for the little rate buttons is to give them to the admins as green up and large red up for depending on just how great it is to see them you can rate them either up or to the moon.

Just something I noticed. I'm using the ffxi.*.* style (alternating dark blue and light blue backgrounds), and when I rate someone with a light blue background, it changes them to the dark blue background. The dark blue background ratings don't change color.

can someone post a screenshot and circle these rate buttons? I can't see them (I don't think).

I see the "rate posts" at the bottom but pushing it doesn't seem to do anything.

Hmm...I am using the FFXI skin, and whenever I rate a post that's light colored, it immediately switches to a dark color background...

It's working now for some reason... oh well. Here's the screenshot I asked for in case anyone else needs it.

It is different in the WoW quests vs this forum it seems.

1. I like the rate up/down buttons, but I'd like to know how the rate up and down values, respectively, compare to the old system? In the old system, for example, you could pick "good" or "excellent", there were levels of rating up, if you will. How do these buttons compare? Is the green button a "good", or an "excellent"?

2. The buttons look very big and out of place centered when everything else in that column is aligned to the left and the text is small. Also, I keep hitting the bookmark link unintentionally trying to rate people. Is there a way we could remove that and the add to friends links via our user options?

3. There is a huge block of nothing underneath people's signatures. Is there a reason for this? It's just all the more page to scroll.

I like the fact that you are trying to spice up the system with some changes, that's always fresh, but I hope these issues are something that will be looked at, as opposed to the way things are being set in stone.
