As most of you know, we have been trying to solve the issue with optiing out, magazine refunds and some not receiving them.

I need as many of you to vote as possible so that we get a somewhat accurate representation of the community.

Please leave comments, we need to know how you feel, THANKS!

How much did the presence of magazine subscriptions affect your decision to subscribe?
The magazine didn't sway me one way or the other:106 (71.1%)
I won't subscribe/renew because I do not want the magazine, let me opt out:11 (7.4%)
I won't subscribe/renew because I want the magazine and haven't gotten it:12 (8.1%)
The magazine contributed to my decision to subscribe/renew:20 (13.4%)
Total:149

Edit: to add forgotten option

I voted for no sway. Good thing too, since I never got it.

It didn't and won't sway me in my decision to subscribe to premium but it's a bit of a prickle to know I'm supposed to get it but I don't and no one knows why.

Didn't buy premium for the magazine, which is great because they don't ship overseas.

I voted no sway... But what about the poll choices "I will subscribe/renew because I want the Magazine." and "I will subscribe/renew because I want the magazine, but don't really care if I get it or not." I'd have voted for the latter.

They won't ship the magazine to UK, but it never cost me any sleep

Nah, I don't need any stinkin' magazines. I get my fill on the Internet. And of course I'm talking about the articles.

I got the magazine for awhile and then it stopped coming, not that it mattered to me one way or the other as I almost never read it.

...the only time I sway is when drunk... that's often, fortunately not at the moment. =P

(miss my smilies... need to re-'scribe)

ETA: Maxim would be a great mag ad though since our subscription is a month from running out.

I didn't get premium because of the magazine, but it was a nice little bonus that I never received.

I probably would have subscribed without the magazine offer. It was a good deal though. Still would be if I ever receive it.

I didn't care either way. I sort of forgot it was coming, but then I got it three months in a row... But then never again.

I guess, seeing as what some people say about it, that's not bad for two 1-year subscriptions, lol.

I got premium so my avatard can give my posts at least some value.

I never recieved any magazine and never really cared. It has no affect whatsoever on my decision to resubscribe.
#22 May 19 2007 at 9:24 AM Rating: Decent
I voted for no sway, but it's a bit more than thet. I became a premium member despite not wanting the magazine. I'm just glad that I never got a copy. My wife got hers, and I really have to ask a question: what would a person playing a PC game (WoW) want with a magazine devoted to console games? It was a stupid choice.

So you admit your posts have no redeeming value on their own?

Maaan, that means it's all up to me to provide substance in OOT. Way to puss out, Rime. Smiley: disappointed

Personally, that True ad with the big chested broad in the black jacket and low cut white spaghetti strap number who strips and makes mewing and oohing noises from being verbally diddled at her keyboard by me would make me renew my subscription to anything. I apparently moisten her panties from my witty reparte and she can't help but get nekkid from my erotic Asylum posts.

What was the question?

Last months magazine had a 13 page article on WoW with interviews with the devs. I was lucky becuase someone I know actually gets his magazine and I was able to read it.

Ain't that great?
