So much less harsh on the eyes. And the collapse able menus are an awesome bonus.

One request though, can you shrink the distance between posts? The space between each reply is a nice touch, and helps distinguish individual posts, but it's a bit large. Cutting it in half would maintain the individuality of each post, but would flow better too IMO.

Is there a way to add/are you planning to add Collapsible windows to all the skins? I really like it but the Wow skin is just hideous.

Progress is good! I think I would ditch the baby **** brown all together though and just go with the more modern look that seems to be developing.

I think a darker brown would alleviate a lot of people's complaints about the color mismatch. Or if you wanted to get really crazy with the color pallettes, seeing as there is a heavy emphasis on the yellows, oranges and reds, you might try something in the bluegreen, blue, and blueviolet area.

The stateful collapse windows are something we're working on rolling out elsewhere, yes.

So will the same be done for FFXI or other games or is it a WoW onry thing?

I like the rollover menus.

For a long time I have been under the assumption that your coding staff was colour blind. Proof? Look at the EQII skin or the original LOTRO 'blue on blue' text/background.

The change to the WoW skin is a step in the right direction. The brown background still needs to go though. As well I realize the admins were going for the 'epic' feel with purple, but it really doesnt match up, perhaps because of the brown background, perhaps it is just a poor colour choice on its own.

Now if only the would let us customize the sidebar with whatever links we want and the color backgrounds as well. I'd Fed/Ex every coder at Alla a 6 pack of brew.

I dig the new Wow Skin but it doesn't have the links I want Smiley: cry

Actually, some of them are. Although lotr was done by a graphic artist.

You should never see the purple on the orange/brown background, only on the dark greys.

I'll play with the background, but the goal here wasn't to do a complete re-design; it was to make what we have work better and be easier to read.

It is nice to see.

While I still feel things could be streamlined in terms of 'getting the info in less clicks' I am positively elated that y'all are improving the aesthetic appeal of the site.

Dana did not design EQII or Lotro, but he has been helping make Lotro a better place to be. I still hate it, yes Magi, I do.

I'm going to take that out of context on behalf of Magi, cause I know that he would have a heart attack to hear DF say those words.

You're welcome Magi.

Lemme know of any examples of this. I use the site alot and generally try to balance clicks vs presentation.

I am happy to see the response, although I'm confused at the lack of feedback on the Search upgrades. It can't possibly be good enough that noone has anything to say. Does no one use it?

I've never used the menubar search function, is it any different than the firefox plugin? Either way, I haven't noticed a difference yet, because I haven't played WoW since before the layout change.

EDIT: holy crap, the plugin returns a ton more hits for less information, awesome job!

Are you kidding me? I know I've been a pain in the neck about how much better WoWHead's search was and now we have it too! I LOVE IT! As I mentioned in your WoW thread, searching "shadow cloak" now returns "Cloak of Shadows" along with a lot of items and a quest, unlike before where the result was "NO GO AWAY!"

I'm renewing my premium membership as soon as I find my credit card.

Here's another request that might make some people a little upset. If You changed the admin name color to purple because they're "Epic" then why not change the rest of them? Guru = blue, Sage = Green, Scholar = White, User = Grey. I imagine that the white and grey would be a little strange, and it would take getting used to. Just a thought.
