Advanced search issuesFollow

I have premium service but sometimes when I got to advance quest search i get this:

and all selection boxes are grey and cant be selected. advanced qest search is the only one giving me trouble. any Idea how this can be fixed.

Are you behind a proxy? Common locations would be college campuses, military bases, etc. What can happen is if you and someone else use the same proxy, you might get their pages. It could also be a page bug though.

One way to tell is, when you get the "Must be premium" error, do you also get the "Welcome User" up top, or do you get an ad?

I figured a way to do it. I just manually type in my user account number in the address and it lets me in to the advanced search properly.

Danalog's right, then. You're behind a proxy somewhere. Typing anything in the query string other than what is usually there from the links on the site will pull up a non-cached version.

We usually put something in the query string to prevent this. For some reason we didn't for the ffxi advanced search. I've added it now and your proxy server shouldn't cache the page anymore.

well that just totally screwed me over. Now I cant get access to my premium search. What could I do to fix the problem? Is it even possible.

What do you see now when you select the Advanced Search under Equipment? Adding something to the query string won't break it for you.

The advanced search with a query string.
The advanced search without a query string.

Do both of the above work for you?
