I've caused a lotta rucus today, I know, I know. It was fun, but it's time I move on.. for now atleast.
So let me make my feedback official. First off, Moderators. Get Moderators. Get moderators to patrol the forums. This forum is chaotic. There is little organization here, and there are groups of individuals who are blantently rude and uncivilized to other users. And of course, since this is a self-moderated system, there is no sense of justice. You can't expect every single member to behave fairly, that just doesn't work.
Hiring moderators is simple work, you just recruit volunteers. I run an online game, and it works just fine for me. Everyone is happy and there is no flaming going on in the forums.
This is probably been posted so many times before, but because of how this site is run, it is driving away members, it's not just me, it's everyone. I'm simply going to move to killingifrit, thier forums are much better, and much more populated then yours... And they don't have the self-moderation like this forum does, they actually have REAL moderators.

Actually, we're a pretty welcoming community if you have a brain, can type a thought out cohesively, and don't whine constantly.
Karma is just a number. The system is there to sink bad posts to the sub-default level, as judged by the community you are currently posting in. If I posted a thread about WoW in the EQII forums, I would expect to get rated down for it.
You posted two threads in the Asylum, which the community there deemed bad enough to sink below filter. And after taking a look at your threads, I am inclined to agree with them.
Furthermore, the admins for this site do a damn fine job at what they do. I have yet to have see a post advertising gil/gold/plat selling that they haven't nuked within a couple minutes of being PM'd or posted about it, and they take care of people who's only purpose is to troll and harass other forum members. And the thing is for most of them...going over the forums and moderating it is a side job to why they were hired for this site: to update the databases and work with the servers.
My only complaint is that the magazine we are supposed to get with the Premium seems to be about as mystical as the fifth or sixth stars.
So please, go, we won't miss you at all.
