Ratings aren't reflected on the post scores, so I'm assuming its not working (tried it out on someone with 3.00 score that had just posted to make sure)...

Thanks =)

Edit: Also, my names not showing up yellow when I create a thread .. might be related.

Working now ... very strange..

Probably has something to do with the new site setup or the IRC.

I can't rate at all. I see a select rating menu, but there's no apparent way to enter the rating for tabulation by the site. It's really frustrating when I see a post I want to rate down, select "awful" and then find that I'm completely impotent.

Arrlaari, the reason you can't rate is because you have to be a scholar, sage or guru. Meaning, you have to have 16 or more total posts and your average karma level has to be 3.01 or higher. This way, people can't create lots and lots of accounts just to rate down one post they don't like (which wouldn't be very fair).

Good system, but why must it taunt us so? Is it really that much harder to hide the ranking menu than it was to turn off the button?

EDIT: is this in some kind of general forum FAQ I missed?

I have the same problem all of a sudden. It started right after I got rated down by someone. Whoever it was rated a few people down in the thread that it happened in, which I felt was uncalled for. So I attempted to rate those people back up, only to have no affect. As you can see, at least at the time of this posting, I am just barely hanging on to scholarhood at 3.01. However, the thread in which the ratedown occured ( I started it, the thread that is ) my name in the forum on the thread selection has gone back ta black.

I've tested it out, attempting to rate up another worthy post on another thread and still nothing happens. It is very odd.

Edit - Oddly, right after I posted this I was rated up :) And now, I can rate up again. I'm guessing it has ta be over 3.01, and Not 3.01 on the nose, even though 3.01 is still a scholar.

Karma below 3 = user. Posts are in dark blue.
Karma between 3.01 and 3.65 = scholar. Posts are in yellow.
Karma between 3.66 and 4.34 = sage. Posts are in green.
Karma between 4.35 and 5 = guru. Posts are in red

i guess things have changed?
never seen any green or darkblue posts :(
they would be really hard to read against the forums background.. so i guess thats why :P
