it's degenerated into an argument about depression and the morality of suicide, and i don't believe the general FFXI forum is the place for that. not to mention it's offensive to people who do suffer from depression (myself, for example). so if you mods see fit, i ask that you nuke or lock the thread before it gets even more out of hand.

and yes, i realize that i replied in the thread a few times, but it didn't have much to do with the topic, and i was bored... :/

I definitely agree; the main FFXI forum is not the place for this. I've been told that currently, threads cannot be moved without directly manipulating the database. But this thread is another example of why it would be desirable to implement a thread-moving system. (The baqst thread, which someone bumped recently, is another; the original post was on-topic--at least before it was edited--but the rest of the thread isn't.) I posted my ideas for a solution to this problem on this thread, and I would appreciate any constructive feedback on it.
