I have had trouble posting links, the links look fine but come up with an </a> attached to them, i don't know enough about coding to be able to comment but some other people seem to think it may be a bug or something.

and here's a direct link to one of Vincent looking particularly bad-***

That's part of my post, i can't see any wrongly marked up links but i may be wrong...

Thanks for your help

If you want to post a stand alone link, just type it in, don't use the URL button. if you want text for your link, make sure you don't use the URL for that text. That confuses the linky thingy.

should be fixed now, the auto link parser was catching it a little over enthusiastically.. :/

Is the site not picking up raw links anymore?

http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10

http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10

test

the second one is using the link tags but it's not picking up the raw link.

There seems to a be problem if a link starts on a line by itself:

A raw test link: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com

A raw test link at the start of a line:
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com

A raw test link with a single space in front of it:
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com

Maybe a mistake in a regular expression somewhere?

EDIT: I checked the page source. The first line in my examples above has a space between the "link:" text and the 'http' part. That space is not preserved in the final HTML output. Another bug?

Seryn was correct, the change I made was to demand that the link be surrounded by whitespace, the beginning of the line not counting.

I've changed it now, it still incorrectly parses already parsed links, but it does them right now, so shouldn't add the </a> on the end.
