"Select Rating" Not Working…Follow

Recently, (about a week ago) I achieved Scholar status. [NOTE: I was once a scholar many moons ago and did not have this issue before.] With this "new" status, I can now, once again, rate posts. Yippee for me, right? Well, apparently not. I can not rate posts. None of the posts I rate are affected in any way, shape or form. The rating number, no matter what rating I bestow upon it, will not change. It is as though my "Rate Posts" button at the bottom of the thread is still considered "Null" like when I was a Default member.

So, I suppose my question is… what extra thing have I missed to activate the ability to Rate Posts? Even as a Scholar, must I wait until my own "Average Ranking" is above a certain value before I can actually rate other's posts?

Ag checked for you, you are not set Norate, so theoretically you should be able to rate people. You may have a bad user Cookie though. Try logging out, clearing your browser cache of cookies, then logging back in again and ee if that helps.

Unfortunately, that did not help.

I logged out, cleared my History, Cache, and Cookies, quit the program, and then relogged into the site. I did this all before 5PM CST yesterday and did not attempt Rating a post until 9AM CST this morning, on this thread. Hexxum's Default post rating is 3.21 with 61 posts and I thought he had a good question, so as a test, I rated his post Good. The OP rating did not change from 3.21 and I was the first to reply to the thread and do not believe others had the chance to rate the thread before myself.

Thank you for any assistance and your time on this issue.

EDIT: It seems to be working now. Just rated up a post with success. Will update this post if I notice a change. Thanks!

Nope - looks like I am back to my "Unrating" self again…

Just tried to rate up a post from it's default setting of 3.28. I rated it Excellent (cuz it made me laugh) and it had no effect on the post's current rating. Still 3.28.

Oh well, I will just act like I am not a Scholar… I'm not much on this rating thing anyway.

Have a nice day! Still love the site, overall, btw.

I seriously don't want to be a pain on this issue and that is why I said I will not bother rating posts, however, I just tried once more to see if it was in fact a fixed issue. In the attempt to Rate-Up Kiine's post (on this thread) from a 3.80 (Good) to Excellent, I saw no effect or change.

I have made other attempts, sporadically, since Illia's post and have had the same results. The only place I can successfully rate a post is on the item/mob/quest related sections - where the Rate Post button is right under the person's name.

[EDIT: Seriously had the longest run-on, ridiculous sounding sentence I have ever created in my life.]

[EDIT: Nevermind - it turns out, I am not considered a Scholar (at least I don't think I am - selecting on my name shows it -not- in yellow as well as my rating dropping from a 3.03 to a 3.01).]
