Equipment Search Feature RequestFollow

Not exactly forum feedback, but this seemed like the right forum.

Could you add in a "Delay" search to the premium item search options? For example, I was trying to find a very low delay bow (for Headshots) and had to scroll down through weapon ratio to find them. A way to quickly sort them would be very helpful.

We don't have delay in the sorters because as you point out here, you're looking for lower == better. Where the search multipliers count on higher being better.

So what's a good multiplier for delay to give it a meaninful ranking. 1/10 ? 1/20 ? 1/1000 ?

100,000/n, where n is the delay?

Well... hrm. 100/N would probably work best, but I'm not sure exactly how it's set up now. A larger multiplier might work better depending upon how the values are set up; possibly 1,000/N.

Since delay figures are typically three-digit numbers (in FFXI, at least - dunno about other games), that's why I picked 100,000/N - the rescaled figures remain about the same range, and the most common figures stay almost exactly the same (low 300s).

1000 - N would also work.

Heh. The highest delay in EQ is three digits, putting in at around 150 or so. Almost everything else is much, much, much smaller on the delay scale.

After playing around with multipliers I think 200/delay gives most flexible delay #'s, you can then apply the search multipliers to that value. (200/delay turns 19 into 10.53; 150 -> 1.33)

Just need to solve some divide by zero issues, and I'll see if I can get it in.
