Specifically, my question is if someone has a post that is already rated 5.00, will rating them up affect their overall karma at all? If someone's taken the time to type out an awesome guide or whatever, I'd like to be able to reward them by giving their karma a push. But if its rating is already maxed out, will my rating the person's post help their karma at all?
user karma is the average of overall ratings. regardless if a message was capped or not.
