Journal questionFollow

I have a question about the Journal feature available to Premium members. The Subscribe page says:
Quote:
Your Own Personal Journal. As a premium member, you will be given your own personal journal to use as you like. You can keep it private and read only, or make it public and moderate it as a full blown message board. You can even password protect it and open it up only to those you give the password. If you want, you can add your journal to the list of member journals and mark it by type and game. This way, if you want to write your own stories for everyone to read, you can mark it as a story journal and people can go there to read it. You can use it to editorialize, rant, give advice and hints, or however else you wish (within reason of course). Or if you want to moderate a full blown message board on the game topic of your choice, you can set it up and list it for people to see and visit.

How do I clear old posts? I want to use my Journal for a new purpose, but I can seem to find the "moderate" options.

Thanks!

As of this time, us users can't moderate our journals that way. It has not been coded in that way. E-mail one of the Admins, they should be able to clean it out for you.

I've made a couple changes to journals, you now temporarily become a site admin when you're viewing your journal. This gives you access to admin ratings on your journal, as well as the ability to see what other people rated messages. (in your journal only)

you "might" even be able to sticky and lock threads.. if you can't I'll fix it...

now to find a non-admin premium account to test with..

of course I'd also be happy to clean our your journal with more brutal tools. Send me an email if you need a hand. illia@allakhazam.com

Borrow mine if you want to.

Edit: I only have posts by me in my journal, that to my knowledge have not been rated. Should I be able to admin rate my own posts in there, say if I wanted to get rid of a double post?

I like the changes to the "your posts" section as well by the way. works much better!

Here's what worked for me:

Stickied threads
Locked threads

What didn't work was the "nuke" option to hide threads. Either that or it did work and I can't tell because I have admin access to my journal. I can have my sister check on her premium account and report back. I was a little concerned using it as well - what does "-50" mean? Does it mean that if I nuke my own old threads my site rating will go down?

EDIT: I had my sister check and indeed she sees the threads that were "nuked". I sent ya an email. Thanks again!

Unsticky and unlock may or may not be giving a proxy error at the moment, and you can't nuke your own posts at this time.

Actually, I've been wondering if you could clear out my journal.

I tried , (unsuccessfully), to make it into a forum for my linkshell a while back.

I'd like to use it for other things, but it's a mess now.

Clearing it out for you now.

Only one I left up was the Welcome message.

Now back to FFXI.

I didn't really get a chance to open it today, until just now.
