Bookmarks, What are the good for?Follow

Well, maybe im just a little thick, but what are the bookmarks good for...
you know the link below my name in this forum that says Bookmark.

I have attempted to use several times... and was unable to determine where to go to to see my list... then I clicked on my name... brought me to a page (the User Information page), which had my bookmarks listed, BUT, (you knew there was one), when clicking on the bookmark, it takes me to a similar page(User Information page) that has no info in the fields.

The same happens when clicking on another persons name, takes me to their page with bookmarks, and when clicking the bookmark it takes me to a blank user information page.

Anyone have an idea what the bookmarks are really for?
