You know what I want?

I want a song that does 1hp/tick poison on your party, like a poison potion. Make it level 99. Call it Venomous Aria or something like that.

Please?

Those are quite some foul words to do such a thing.

Toxic Cantata would work too.

That would be awesome.

Finally a way to punish people for running out of/into song range and messing up the buffs I try so hard to keep up help out the party by keeping everyone awake, or something.

If you've ever fought a NM where it does Sleepga as part of its TP moves, then you know exactly what this is. SCH and */SCH sort of have a workaround with Sublimation, but /SCH is fairly out of favor for most endgame events, because the benefits of /RDM are much stronger (refresh, phalanx, etc.) Back in old style Dynamis-Valkurm, we expected everyone to bring a stack of poison potions or El Pachy fruits due to the stupid sheep.

A healer can usually stay out of range and get a curaga on the group within a few seconds, but poison wakes you up instantly. The benefits of March+Poison would outweigh the benefits of double marches in these cases.

Considering how cheap the poisonous fruits are from Kazham, I see no reason not to give it to one of the AOE buffing classes.

I have a feeling SE would just make future NMs give Hyper Sleep, like Diabolos and Seps.

When exactly would you use this instead of a real bard buff?

When I wanted to kill an AFK party member, which is what I was assuming that catwho wanted. >_>

Because otherwise, yeah, I'd rather use two Marches and say "too @#%^ing bad" to anyone who didn't bring poison pots.

If it were a means of actual sleep prevention that we wanted here, I'd rather they just make Fowl Aubade actually potent enough to be worth using. (Yeah, Fowl Aubade, that song that I bet nobody here even knows what it does. It supposedly enhances sleep resistance, although clearly it doesn't do so by enough to make any real difference.) Given that you have to give up another buff in order to use these status resistance songs, they should be a LOT more potent than they currently are.

NPC1: Help! Our members are asleep from Dream Flower!
NPC2: Okay what do I sing?
NPC1: Venomous Aria!
NPC2: What?! Why would I poison us?
NPC1: To wake them and keep us awake!

Point being, SE would want it to make sense from a NPC's perspective too. This is a gameplay mechanic exploit for what we want it for. We ought to ask for what Fynlar suggested, to make Fowl Aubade more potent. SE simply won't allow it to be poison due to possible grieving.

By that logic, El Pachiro fruits would not be sold from Kazham, since they are poisonous and what NPC would want to sell a mildy poisonous fruit at a dockside stand?

The NPCs would be aware, given the description. It gives off a sweet, nutty aroma that it can be used for. It has use to make a furnishing.

would be cool if they provided one for each of the major status ailments. There is a lot of gear that has Status Effect latents on it that are vry situational to use, and often unusable on many mobs. We have the ability to grant weather effects for certain items, it would be neat to see the ability to do the same for status related items.

BRD seems like a decent choice as far as a story link up. As music has been linked to stiring all kinds of emotions, and feelings. Just think of all the situatonal equipment that would have more use if we could control the cause effect.
