Anecdotes are coming out that the drop rates in new dyna are off the bottom of the charts. Such as 4 byne singles in a 50+ mob kill run.
I think you guys tightened the faucet a little too much here, no?
Before, we used the cities as the main sources of currency. We were one of the last dyna shells that did a full zone tour every month, cleaning out every mob we had time for. And yet, most runs we still only saw 300-400 coins in cities (and as low as 150 on bad days.) In Northlands, we were lucky when we broke 200 coins.
I know you said you planned to adjust the currency drop rates to reflect the increased ability to enter dynamis, but let's do some math here.
Previously, any given person could enter Dynamis twice a week.
In those two runs, assuming double clears and no lucky triple 100 drops, you could expect to see about 800 coins.
800 x 64 = 12.5 coins per person on average for 6-7 hours worth of time (3.5 hours max each run.)
So, let's translate that into 7-8 hours under the new system, or 4 runs.
4 coins x 4 runs = 16 coins in the same amount of time, for 18 people (assuming the same people go in every day.)
These drop rates sound an awful lot like the drop rates people see in Campaign battles... i.e. not worth doing the event for.
I don't have a horse in this race any more. I took four years and completed Gjallarhorn. But you got the hopes of a lot of people up, people who expected a slight nerf in drop rates, not a total buzzkill. So much for any of them completing a relic weapon! Currency rates are going to go up, not down.
