Skillup Bonus AtmaFollow

If there isn't already one in the game, I'd like to see a reasonably obtainable Atma that increases the rate of magic and melee skillups. Abyssea and Level Sync before it have provided us means to level up quickly, while leaving our various skills behind.

Players have long been looking for a bit of a boost in obtaining skillups. The Martial Master Kupower is nice when it's active, but obviously it's only available for certain areas. It's going to get to the point where those areas may not even be viable for skilling up to the skill cap anymore if it hasn't happened already.

I think this is a great idea! If you do this, please make it one of the buyable abyssites in the Heroes zones. It won't do people any good if it drops from some obscure NM that by the time they get it, they will already be capped! Although I suppose if Heroes comes out with the 85>90 cap increase, there are still 9 more levels to go after that. 'Tis a good idea, either way.

The mobs added to CoP zones (such as the Scowlenkos in Uleguerand Range) are still barely suitable. Still won't be fast, because the mobs will only be around EM-T, but you could still potentially cap.

You know that's what's going to happen though.

I swear Martial Master is a farce of a bonus.

Really, SE needs to add easy mobs in the Signet/Sigil areas for those interested in solo skilling can have the option. Steelshells were popular because they weren't dangerous even as Ts. Comparably, DC Seaboard Vultures (Likely level 84) had almost killed me multiple times trying to /DNC them on my THF looking for Dagger and Evasion skill (which never came with MM up and my Evasion was at least closer to a level 78 THF).

Orichalcumshells (crabs) in Mt.Z will be okay when 90 cap hits, but they'll lack the defensive benefits of Signet/Sigil so you'll still probably want a small party and Utsu to take them.

At this point, I'd just like to see skill up scrolls you could buy with cruor or something. Or SE could add training NPCs in the starter cities where you could talk to, get some kind of buff before you log out, then for every hour you're away you could come back to +1 skill level in the desired skill.

Besieged has been pretty dead for quite a while on Carbuncle. Perhaps if they gave Besieged a massive skillup bonus (among other needed changes) it would bring people back.

Or perhaps some kind of skill up mechanism for people assisting with magian trials.

I dinged 279 staff on an acrolith in Undead Swarm the other day on SMN, approaching the 81 caps for it. I would expect the bosses and such could probly get you to 83~85 caps depending on the job I guess. The problem with besieged is it's just not a reliable option for skilling up.

The new abyssea zones are good though. I took MNK from 77 to 85, capped out limit points, dumped merits, came back and go to 5 more merits and I capped H2H at 331. The trick is being able to stick with it long enough to do it. Evasion skillups flew whenever I managed to pull hate, it just didn't happen enough to cap evasion on it. But, NIN is still only 81, so hopefully I'll cap that eventually.

I found the good mob to skill up on at 85. The Spider in Aquaducts are 84-85 near the entrance. You get a even match one drop it to 10% then run away from it. Use a ladder or something to lose hate. As long as they aren't killed they'll re-pop really fast hopefully even match.

I have had problems with finding skill up mobs for red mage. Seems like martial mastery doesn't work on magic skill ups. It took almost 2 weeks to cap enhancing. I've noticed that skill ups have gotten slower as they git 300+. Perhaps skill books that drop from chest or are bought would be a nice alternatives to beating on enemies.

Hopefully SE will do something to help reduce the grind of skilling up this suggestion would be a good start.

Slime Eaters (worms) in Aydeewa Subterrane, cons T-VT to 85.

Exit Whitegate -> Bhaflau then follow the right border to reach the correct entrance. Once in Aydeewa, keep following the right wall, and you can't miss them. In the area that used to have diremites, you will now find these worms instead.

These things still don't pack anything stronger than Stone 4, Stonega 3, or Quake, so if you keep Shell 4 and Barstone up you almost don't even need to silence them; their damage is pretty laughable.
