Can you fix VNM?Follow

Two issues.

1. Color change rate.

This should be increased somewhat. It is not THAT hard to go get another colorful key item if you need to pop T2s for magians. It is much worse to have this low change rate for people who need T3s. Not to mention you only need to kill like 6 T2s, while you need to kill 5-10 T3s for the drops.

2. Repop rate.

I hear Abyssea NMs have longer repop than normal at T2+. Considering regular VNM are in 4 zones and 2 in each, but abyssea VNM is a single zone and monster with time restrictions, I think it would be more fair with 15-20 min repop times. Sure you can enter, kill it, leave, wait, and redo it much later and not waste too much of your abyssea time. But it makes it very hard to get any results in reasonable time. Alternatively make 4 pops per zone, so that you can kill just as many as in regular zones.

I'll probably complain about the useless drop rate if I ever get to killing an abyssea T3 VNM. You'll probably hear from me in about 5 months when it happens.

I would like the ability to store abyssites of different colors. I have a black abyssite and I'm trying to build up another T3 pop and it is SO annoying getting interference from Yilbegan.

I think the current message is actually a bug. You still get the nearest VNM regardless of abyssites on you, but the highest tier stone always seems to respond... why would my grey abyssite respond to T1 or T2 when it's only attuned to a T3? And only when you got the proper T1 or T2 abyssite on you?

So what is it for T1 and T3?

I naively thought that you'd just need to defeat a Tier I VNM to get your abyssite to change. Wow how wrong I was. I just started last night and a friend went 1/13 on his and we're still working on mine. The Tier I VNM's aren't difficult so of course SE had to make the system needlessly difficult by adding in the random factor. Couple this with the fact that there are two different VNMs for each tier in each zone and the probability of you finding the VNM you want to fight drops yet again (which completely kills the notion of completing a Magian trial in any sane amount of time}.

Needless to say, I find the current VNM system of progression to be nearly unworkable. If anyone has any tips or knowledge of how to get abyssite to change more readily or to be able to track down the VNM you want to fight in Tier II and beyond I'd be happy to hear it. I also agree that having this linked to healing is a horrible idea. Unlinking VNM tracking from healing or allowing you to store or disable abyssite would make a lot more sense.
