Use of this forumFollow

This forum is for feedback and suggestions to the Square-Enix about things they can do to improve the game for you. Please limit your posts to direct feedback to the developers, not the other players. We will delete any posts feel are not appropriate to this forum (once we get thread moving capacity, we will just move them to the other forum, but for now we will delete them). Square-Enix will be monitoring this forum and occasionally posting here. Hopefully, it can be used responsibly so that they can get useful feedback. Thanks.

d) use of the words Square Enix or similair in the subject.
e) use of words like Important, Read Now, etc.
f) use of inappropriate capitalization
g) repeating previously made suggestions.

Another thing, do not *BUMP* threads, your post will be deleted.

Needless to say, no cursing about stuff.

Also, complaining about JP players without posting any useful suggestions is a good way to get nuked.

My topic was deleted. I'd understand if I repeated a topic already posted. However, it was the third topic posted here and the first two didn't have my suggestions.

My suggestion:
Since you admins moderate this forum and delete unusefull threats, you may also create another new forum, and move all threats you think are important enought to show to SE there to.
In the new Forum normal users only can reply, but not creat new threats.
In this way you have less work to do if someone post an alread existing topic.

Many threads are being deleted because of repetitiveness.

Note: I am also nuking threads that I feel are only being posted to make the game easier to play, regardless of balance. So this means "make gil easier to get" and other such threads.

Would one of you moderators be kind enough to encourage discriminate rating, rather than indiscriminate? Some people are rating down every post in a thread without even looking at the individual inputaru~ most disturbing. ; ;

yes... my well thought out and clearly presented argument for including the ability to type japanese characters in the English version was apparently nuked today after a grand 8 hours of being on here, while useless and repetitive posts remain active (make PLD/THF/SAM etc. more useful) remain. Could you please tell me why this has been removed? I thoroughly checked all of the rules and didn't think I was breaking any... plus I asked to be emailed if my thread was deleted so I would know why, I hope at least that courtesy is offered to me....

No offense....but I can't really imagine a Dev coming through this forum as it currently is to see feedback.

You have a forum that has been existing for 3 days now, and has now over 700 posts in it, AFTER several were deleted.

Upon reading many, most topics include topics that are at best irrelevant, at worst, downright racist. The problem being, finding a grain of information is like taking a drink for a firehose. There is by far too many posts here. I myself made a post on Monday, it has been since regulated back to page 14...

If this forum will work, my best suggestion, make sub forums.

Create one for Class Balancing, one for General issues, one for Tradeskill Issues, one for Content issues, one for Bugs that need resolution, and one for Quests and Missions. That way, S-E can also sort to see what areas the players have the most feadback for.

I know, if I were a developer, I would not want to look for posts trying to find out what was wrong, and have to sift through 100 posts that say "Make NA only servers, the JP players have an unfair advantage over me", or 30 posts on "Why we should breed Chocobo's like in Final Fantasy 7 and then Race them"

I'm also somewhat curious if deleted threads, if actually good ones, had been taken by the administrators and then forwarded to the SE folk before deletion. I was a bit irked that what seems like the only RDM thread had been deleted, specifically after one person had simply hopped in basically saying, "RDM is the most unbalanced class in the game!" and nothing else. Others that had disagreed with the presented ideas at least gave a reason.

Almost having RDM to 50, we don't particularly excel in anything, even enfeebling since our spells are split between WHM and BLM, except for Gravity. And truth be told, we'd like to offer more to a party than just Refresh or playing WHM when one can't be found.

The only other appropriately titled RDM thread I could think of would be the one concerning the last Genkai and it being much harder in comparison to the other jobs. I'm not even sure if that thread's still around.

I haven't reposted what I did in the RDM thread because I really want to believe there was a good reason for its removal, but if there wasn't, I'll join the others regarding the skepticism regarding our input.

OK heres the deal, threads are being delted for various reason, one of them is they get to high in post count. This is for SE to see, not you guys to TELL them what to do. DO NOT BUMP THREADS. If you bump a thread, not only will it be deleted, but you will also get rated down.

Yes, there were a couple of posts made to this thread concerning bumping and the like. If people like a post, rate it, don't bump it. Bumping will get the post nuked and the bumping person rated down.

Why not just delete the "/bump" posts and not kill the whole thread?

While I sympathize and even agree, let us not forget the old* adage:

Good suggestions will inevitably get discussion, counterarguments, additional development suggestions, et al and stay on or near the front page without needing to be bumped; the "OMG GOLDEN SAUCER" ones will fall gently to the bottom like fish food in an aquarium.

If anything, I've learned a lot from the locked-sticky at the top about bumping. It just... jumped right off the page! Woohoo, go caps lock!

I dont mind the deleting b/c of bumps, but deleting an awesome Idea for no rease baffles me.
