US Police have seized $30m worth of bitcoins. They have!? How!? USB thumb drive? It's in relationship to an online illegal drugs store which is also a novel idea to me, but shouldn't be, since it's probably the second oldest profession. I'm quoting you an Australian website which you might not have access to.

The ABC wrote:
United States authorities have seized an estimated $29 million in digital currency from the alleged owner of an online drugs marketplace.

Federal prosecutors said 144,336 bitcoins, a digital currency widely used on the defunct site, were discovered on computer hardware belonging to Ross William Ulbricht.

The online drugs marketplace Silk Road was shut down by authorities three weeks ago.

Ulbricht, known online as "Dread Pirate Roberts" [TEE HEE], was arrested on October 1 in San Francisco and charged with various conspiracy charges in relation to the website.

Silk Road traded in illegal drugs such as heroin and cocaine, sold illegal weapons, hacking tools and tutorials and also offered hit men for hire.

So yeah, I knew money was imaginary, but I'm just not used to this imaginary imaginary money.

Old news is old. And bitcoins are only slightly more imaginary than stocks.

Also, I thought Silk Road was only for drugs. I could be wrong though.

I don't think the bitcoins were the problem but the fact that the founder had his real name/email attached to something related to Silk Road.
