My hopes for being an earth bender continue to go unanswered.

They basically drugged a rat and made it wag it's tail is what I got out of that article.

Sort of relevant or maybe not. This article is about 'entanglements' which supposedly connect black holes to worm holes, time-bending stuff.

Anyways if blackholes can communicate via entanglements, brains should be able to communicate with just a simple little tesseract.

Bending time, bending minds....

You're more excited for Dances with Smurfs 2 than a possibility of nifty awesome tech IRL?

It's the only film that's worth stabbing your mother in order to watch in 3-D.

The graphics were good, but the plotline was only average. I certainly wouldn't stab my mother for it. But with mind control, I probably wouldn't be able to help myself. Since, you know, mind control.

Probably depends on your mother, too. Wouldn't need mind control if you didn't care too much for her.

He'd have to have a pretty terrible mother if he'd stab her so a new movie would be made.

Plus, we haven't resolved whether you get to see the non-3D without the mother stabbing.

Even wag it's tail is probably a stretch.

My understanding is they have no idea how to do any fine motor control. Even a tail wag is something that would require more precise equipment than they have, not to mention an understanding of the how this particular rat has wired its brain. This was more like flooding one area of the brain with tons of signal and watching the tail twitch in response.

Yep, it's mostly a proof of concept, that yes, you can do this sort of an interface. It's will take a lot of work to get it from there to nuanced full brain overrides.
