Help us win the internet popularity contest!!Follow

Hullo, all.

I have a voting plea for you. My husband has written a story called Emoland that's pretty awesome.

Bartleby Snopes, the site that has published this particular stroke of literary genius, has a Story of the Month contest in which the different stories are pitted against one another Battle Royale style until the person with the most friends on Facebook, the most Twitter followers, and the most forum subscriptions wins.

So I am appealing to the good people of Zam.

Please vote here for Emoland. Shameless rate ups for all who do.

Thanks, all!

That really affected me. There were some bits hear and there in the early middle that jarred me, but the ending was really good. Overall I loved it.

Also I'm feeling zonked right now, so I went against my usual morals and didn't view the other contestants, and vote on their merits. I just went ahead and voted for Emoland. Yay for nepotism! <3

The paragraph beaks gave me the impression of a violent camera swing in a movie.

Maybe he was going for that?

Not a negative; just what my brain did while I read it.

After voting and looking at the results, your husband needs more friends. A lot more friends.

Thanks for the votes in futility, guys. He is asking all of his internet haunts as well, but I think the Vending Machine guy has a lot more internet cred for some reason, because that story really isn't very good.

I kind of liked the Vending Machine. I was looking for more story when it ended.

(I liked emoland too - it got my vote)

I dislike the self-consciously simplistic style they're both written in. Better than that gbaji style ****, though.

I voted for it, partially because you asked us to and partially because it has someone named "Dr. Weirdbeard".

And it looks like Kabuki Dinner Theatre is popular in des moines
