No, I'm providing general health advice in a workout thread.

It's far easier to count calories and not consume an excess than it is to actually burn them off.
Men do not need this "easier". Real men, viking badass men, should consume one hundred million calories per day and burn them all by beating bison to death with pianos filled with molten lead before going on a daily voyage to pillage the nearest foreign coastline.

On the other hand, who has the free time for that when drinking one fewer 12oz soda a day means you'd lose about 15 pounds in a year if nothing else changes.

Meh, skim milk (and I don't use a lot) and a little bit of agave and I feel comfortable with the calorie count of my coffee.

One packet of Sugar in the Raw is 50 calories, if anyone was wondering. I usually use half a packet's worth in a large coffee.

Could do both. I mean, I exercise all day just so I can have that delicious bad for me foods and drinks mostly.

Just remember that eating unhealthy food is not balanced out by exercising. Sure, you may not pack the extra weight, but you could still drop dead within the hour from a clogged up system.

Maybe that's how things work in Amsterdam, but New York buses are more aggressive than tiger sharks...

While they tend to hunt solo, it's the packs of blood thirsty taxis you really have to look out for.

And things are just getting out of hand. Now we have green taxis and blue bikes roaming the last of the safe territories...

It's the bicycles you have to be afraid of in Amsterdam, they ignore sidewalks and pedestrian only areas.

Bikes aren't much of a concern here, for they are the scavengers of the vehicular world, picking and eating the remains of the larger wheeled animal kills.

You see people, this is what happens when you cut P.E. out of the curriculum. School budgets be damned, we need proper physical education classes or our kids are going to be playing out in traffic! Smiley: motz

Smiley: oyvey

Upshot: This could cull the herd a bit.

I have NO idea how valid this is, but...

It looks like you would only need a wall and a sturdy chair for this.
