So here's a question. Who came up with this system?

It was the guy who invented the Ouija board, I think.
There are no colors on the Ouija Board. I think it was modeled after Twister.

They make self-stick-only tape.
Bondage tape is self-stick-only tape.

Ah, so it's being marketed as such now.

So I've been posting here for some time... and I notice my "rating" oscillates between Decent and Good.

I suspect this has something to do with how "FFXIV" friendly my comments are, because every time I say something that can in any way be construed as negative towards the game, sure enough I find my rating bumped down to "decent."

Can anyone confirm how this is determined, and just WHO is determining this?

Don't worry about ratings. Half the time you aren't rated based on content, but on personal preference. Also, it doesn't affect your ability to post. So just keep on keeping on, and don't worry.

Welcome =)

I feel special. Decided to rate up the OP just because it led to a cool history lesson, and i got to see the rating switch to Excellent.

The best rating is when you find someone at the brink of a new karma level and play seesaw with them. I think I stretched Aethien out for an entire week.

It's also fun when you bump into a different level and go out of your way to get the "people that think you deserve it" and the "people that think you don't deserve it" to fight over it for like two weeks.

You should work on Aeokite then, he/she's still a low count Sage.

I don't care about what anyone's title is, as in Sage, scholar, Guru. What I like is when I click on the arrow and see the wording of good change to excellent or decent. I really hate you people that are sitting in the 2 rate zone needed for my instant gratification.

If I rate you down, god damn it, you better drop a tier.

I just see ratings as a reaction. Whether it's up or down it's all the same to me.

What I enjoy is when someone gets rated down and they go off on a tangent about it.

Pushing buttons is a bother. Thankfully if someone says something that bothers me enough to push the red arrow they've usually been sub-defaulted already; same but opposite way with the green one.

That's why 1 rate needs to make the wording change. Increase the likelihood of a meltdown.

The best part about being an admin is sometimes you get to make your own Seesaws! Someone made a sockpuppet once that I took a dislike to, to whine about karma. Their karma score changed from post to post for about an hour (via admin rates because we were ******** with the sockpuppet), one post Guru, the next default, the one after that, Sage, etc. It was hilarious because they didn't catch on to what was happening for about 10 posts, and then they got really pissed off via PM. Then we banned the sock!

It's even more fun to rate someone up so they hit Scholar, and then they complain the didn't want to be Scholar you keep going until they hit Sage. Smiley: grin
