It did bring up an interesting topic though. Have you ever come across an... intimate... video of someone you know? This happened to a friend from my hometown a couple of years ago, but it was under less than entertaining circumstances; she had been taped without her knowledge. An ex-boyfriend of hers (not the one who uploaded the video) found it and called her to ask her about it; she was humiliated. She sent a message to the site asking for it to be taken down; I'm not sure if it was or not.

I read an article (I think it was in Wired?) about the rise of exploitative sites that put up information you wouldn't want online, then make money by extorting people into paying to have it taken down. There's a current crop of amateur **** sites that do this now - they solicit photos/videos from spurned ex-boyfriends, hackers, and general lowlifes. "Revenge ****", I think they call it. Pretty horrible.

I don't expect that they'll be able to persist for much longer; the government seems keen on going after them, and I'd be okay with it.

And even if you're not fired for it, it can make your workplace a whole lot of fun if it gets known around the office that you like to spend your weekends wearing a gimp mask and getting your *** whipped.
