Kind of depends on whether anything more than just shackles happens.
If it's only shackles it'll get boring.

Ewww. No one wants to have to paint a mind picture of a wrinkled skinny bald-topped old wizard without his robe and hat.

As to these cross-forum shenanigans. I am disappointed that the OOTers allowed WoWheads to just come into their yard and play with their toys like this. There is no honor or glory in sharing nicely.

Man, this thread kept going? I'm impressed. So Sas, since this thread is about you, tell us a bit about yourself. Hobbies, games you're playing, sexual fetishes, etc.

Oooh, I dunno... I'm not that interesting.

-Insert reassuring phrase-

Oh, alright. If you insist.

My name is Stephen, I just recently turned 28. I was born in the US (Ohio) and now currently reside in Southern California. I'm attending college full-time and just recently acquired my Associates Degree in Business and will, hopefully, be transferring to the University of California (Irvine) this coming fall. If not Irvine, possibly Riverside. My plan to eventually work in Human Resource Management, possibly with Blizzard Entertainment since I'll be relatively near their headquarters.

I'm married to a wonderful man named Nathan, and by married I mean 'Registered Domestic Partnership,' which is as close to married as I can be in California at this time. A lot of that political/moral/religious debate will be occurring in the coming months when the Supreme Court has an opportunity to uphold or rescind DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) as well as an appealed proposition eight from California that resulted in the banning of gay marriage in California back in 2008 (after it was already legal no less).

I play World of Warcraft on the Sargeras(US) server. While in school I don't play that often. I get on at least once a day, do some easy dailies and a pet battle or two. I also run our guilds website, Ventrilo server and I also help to ensure the guild bank is stocked for raid materials (i.e banquets/pots/flasks). When I'm not in school I usually raid, and have for the last several years. Unfortunately, my school schedule this past semester, and probably from now on, has been conflicting with raid times. So, now I'm just sort of benched. I also, occasionally, play Gears of War on Xbox, Orcs Must Die, Aion, some Facebook games (i.e poker), some Android games (i.e Words with Friends), Diablo III, Starcraft II and my husband plays all those games but also plays Rift, Minecraft, Skyrim among several others.

Sexual fetishes? Hmmm... honestly don't have much of anything. I'm actually rather boring in that regard. Unless you call the whole "gay" thing a fetish, which I wouldn't... but you can think what you want, lol.

Hopefully that has been more than enough information for you. ;)

Enjoy!

Goodness, sas, you're a busy, busy boy. My salutations to your full life and successful gaming-study balance!

Also, TLW now knows where you live, how many pets you have, where your in-laws live, whether they like you, what your grade average is, and who your professors are doing.

I would dearly love to see a grand unification of all Zam sites' off topic forums. It would be a wonderful cacophonous, calamitous clash followed by the making of many new friendships (and doubtless a few friendly rivalries).

We had discussed it once if I recall. Now that I know how different the two places are I'd have to say calamity is a good word for it. lol - Not to mention in exorbitant amount of extra work for us.

It has come to my attention that I have no idea what TLW stands for; perhaps one of the following?

The L Word
True Love Waits
Tullow Oil PLC
The Lost World
The Last Word
The Learner Will
Theft Loss Waiver
To Learn Why
The Leet World
TeleWorking
The Lord's Work
The Language Works
The Lord Willing
Threat-Launched Weapon
The Loving Wife
Tiger Lily Workshop
Test Load Wire
The Littlest Wiseman
The Last War

You know Ari, I don't think I've ever seen you write more than one paragraph in a single post? Are you too stupid to string together more than a few sentences or are just too lazy to raise you lard filled limb?

We all come to the OOT to have a good time, but spam is not funny. It's crap and no one cares. Even with all your circle jerks you're still at scholar because you post nothing but crap. You are a waste of space.

Yeah, the practice of cordoning off each Zam network site as its own entity with barely any acknowledgement of the rest of the network as a whole is a pretty poor practice. I would argue that it's one of the factors in many a network site's quick death after the launch of a new game, and why people find other sites to visit for their information. I started coming to Zam for FFXI information, and posted on the forums here. I likely would have never played WoW or SW:TOR or a handful of other games if it hadn't been for the forums shared by the various individual game forums on here. Having a bunch of friends and acquaintances already playing other games made the jump to those games much easier.

Having no common forums for the various X-head site users to bond through keeps the communities on those sites relatively small, and with no crossover there's no incentive to use the Zam site for a different game. For example if I play WoW and use Wowhead, and start playing Guild Wars 2, there's no crossover of community there to make me start using Guildhead. Eventually it will become a barren wasteland, where the occasional user will ask for support that will go unanswered for weeks since the company pulls people off site support, and there's very little reason indeed to continue using the network sites.

The only reason I still frequent Zam is for these Cross Site forums. There's barely any reason to use any of the community-sourced information sites since there's so little effort put into cultivating a community, and other sites soon outclass the Zam network. I guess I'd still use Wowhead since it's been around for a long time and was pretty established, but what I've seen of newer game's sites, interest and support fade quickly.

I heartily agree with almost all of that.
From what (relatively little) inside info I have, I know that what you say isn't missed by anyone but practicalities always find a way to kick you in the teeth.
