The exotic foreigner isn't out of the question. She's flying out tonight to spend a month hiking in Cambodia and Sri lanka with friends. She's seeing Ankor Wat, and the Cloud Maidens. She has discovered the "skort". It's a pair of shorts designed to walk comfortably in, with a built in skirt over the top for wearing in countries that like more modesty in female clothing. It's to wear with her neck to wrist blouses.
You may question the wisdom of a young white woman driving and walking around Cambodia, but as she's taking her professional grade photography equipment expressly to photograph the remains of the Killing Fields, I and our mother will just have to sit on our blood pressure. She really wasn't born to be caged.
