My god those were 2 of the best playoff games I have seen in some time. The Ravens Broncos start was just absurd. 28 points in the first quarter, even as a Ravens fan I had doubts that they could keep up with Peytons offense, let alone break the Broncos defense, but damn that Joe Flacco sure makes those long balls look effortless.

Here is hoping for a Harbaugh vs Harbaugh super bowl, would be a great match, and here is hoping that the 2 games today are just as entertaining, because damn that was some good football last yesterday.

I agree there was some pretty bad calls, and some pretty obvious missed calls. In the end I think those two games were about the best playoff football in the last couple years.

And what the @#%^ not letting Manning try to get them in FG position with 30s and two TO? And that running play on 3rd down in the series before the Ravens came back to tie?

BAL didn't even take advantage of the precedent they set all game by running Ray Rice up the middle on virtually every 1st down. PLAY ACTION, mother@#%^er, use it.

Seattle threw the game away IMO. Which is sad given how hard they fought to take the lead, only to lose it because of a classic poor coaching decision. I'm not a fan of prevent defense in general. I tend to think you should continue playing the defense you've been playing all game and that's gotten you to where you are. If prevent actually was the best way to prevent the other team from scoring, you'd use it all the time. Having said that, I understand that there are circumstances where it's useful. When the clock is very very short and you just want to minimize the likelihood of the other team pulling out a miraculous break out play to win the game. I get it. But don't use prevent if the score is within 3 points. Ever. Seattle's loss is why you don't do this. You're giving up easy yards in exchange for protecting against the deep pass. You should *never* do this in a situation where the other team just needs a field goal to win, because you've just made it really really easy for them to march down the field and get into field goal range.

This should be obvious, but it's amazing how often coaches in the NFL do that it in that situation anyway. It's like they don't grasp the difference between making it hard to get a touchdown in 30 seconds versus making it hard to get a field goal in the same amount of time. They think "We need to stop them from scoring in 30 seconds. Let's go prevent!", and proceed to hand the other team the damn game. I knew Atlanta was going to win when I saw the Seattle linebackers running backwards on the snap. Compounding that with the decision to try to ice the kicker (which I'm not aware has ever had any statistical effect), just adds to the heap of stupidity. Should have never gotten to that in the first place.

They did but not because of their defense, they had 2 opportunities in the first half to put up field goals on 4th and 1 they lost it on downs, and then they didn't bother with the half expiring, In the end even one of those being a field goal gives them the game. Was just bad decision making in the first half imo. They played a great game Wilson showed his is a dominant QB, They will have a good run next year I think, and in the very least be taken a lot more seriously.

I'm a Pats fan and all but 9.5 is a bit high, no?

9,5 was the spread last week for the Ravens vs The Broncos and that didn't mean a whole lot. Flacco also holds the record for most road playoff wins, while Brady the record of most wins, With Gronk down for this game that puts a lot of target pressure on Hernandez, and Welker, granted Lloyd and Branch also are pretty good.

it will be a tight game just like it was earlier this year, and just like it was in the last post season, as both teams are essentially unchanged. It should be a great game...but I am picking the Ravens to cover, just like I did last week. 9.5 is a lot of points, and the Ravens have shown they can keep pace with barn burners, and keep games tight in slugfests.

Can't wait for championship sunday...even just to see that no ravens recievers drop a pass they had in their hands in the endzone...or our kicker miss a chip shot FG to send the game into overtime...yes still bitter.

Yeah seems high, but I'm not surprised. Ravens stumbled through the end of their season, and if you were to believe the T.V. pundits they're just riding some Ray Lewis emotional thing or whatever. I'm thinking they'll put up a better fight than that at least, and the Pats are certainly beatable.

So yea, how about those Ravens. Actually looked good yesterday. I was impressed.

Flacco is the new Eli Manning. Mediocre in the regular season, MVP caliber in the postseason.
