I keep wanting to make new threads, but I also think about how close I am to Sage, and how posting anything but a ding thread will result in moving away from that. I don't typically make replies to threads as much anymore because: A.) Someone has already said what I was going to say several hours before or B.) The subject of the thread is not interesting.

I remember when I used to come here and you people would be talking about something really stupid, like anime, some video game, bacon, or some emotional crisis and then I would post a witty, snarky comment and we'd all have a good laugh.
Making sub forums for those topics effectively killed them. Sure, plenty of people still use =22 games, but there would be much more activity surrounding the topics there if they could simply be posted here. If people didn't think it'd be a waste of time posting in a sub forum no one reads, there'd be a lot more new topics as well. Look what happened when they made a Minecraft sub-sub forum. It is as if they are trying to divide and conquer their own forums.
Of course, the Asylum is active during an election year, but the lack of opposing viewpoints has it weighed down a lot.
