This morning we announced that Paragon Studios will be taking to the skies of City of Heroes for the last time.

In a realignment of company focus and publishing support, NCsoft has made the decision to close Paragon Studios. Effective immediately, all development on City of Heroes will cease and we will begin preparations to sunset the world's first, and best, Super Hero MMORPG before the end of the year. As part of this, all recurring subscription billing and Paragon Market purchasing will be discontinued effective immediately. We will have more information regarding a detailed timeline for the cessation of services and what you can expect in game in the coming weeks.

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

Joph beat you to it. If I remember correctly the last day will be sometime in November, unless they decide to end it sooner.

Not surprised he did. I knew Kas, Nad, and him were CoH players at one point also. I just don't really check that gaming forum often (read: ever).

Doesn't change me having a sad. Smiley: frown

It's too bad there will be no one left to oppose those peoples out there with admittedly brilliant schemes to implement world dominion using an army of trained wombat Ninjas, common household appliances, and a puppet election to control the most powerful country in the world: Lichtenstein! Yes. Truely awful that such plans will go completely unapposed now.... MWahahahahahahahahah!!!!!

Seems like wasps would be more effective. And awesomely cruel.

Wow, you've got an awesome writing style.! I really dig the narrator's back story, humor, sarcasm, and the plethora of pop culture references. Altogether a refreshingly different RotR journal (not that I don't like the more traditional ones, mind you).

Year, and if my main PC weren't down, I'd reinstall and play until the servers were shut down. Really sucky.
