An unbelieving story.Follow

Ok , so I was in school today, and I asked my friend if he likes world of warcraft.
Well he replied "What's world of Warcraft". So I sat down with him... We had a little chat and we got to the point eventually.

The story begins he claimed to have never played a game in his life.
And I replied that is possible but it's also impossible at the same time. Like, he is an outside person... I can admit that, but not
Playing a game in your whole life...? That's taking it advanced.

I bet he's played at least one game even it has to be damn Atari or something similar to that.

So that's probably the highlight of my day.

Or maybe he doesn't come from a family wealthy enough to purchase video game consoles or computers.

Maybe, but he does have an iPod touch 8GB and about an 150 dollar pair of headphones.

+1, would read again.

Also, maybe he's just not into video games. Couple of my high school mates were like that. Hell, I went to elementary school with a guy whose family didn't own a TV. Not because they couldn't afford it, but the parents just felt that their kids could do other stuff for their pass time.

I'm not saying it's a healthy approach, but it's a possibility.

I wasn't allowed videogames when I was underage. I still played them when my parents weren't there, of course.

Also, I don't own a TV - I have one in my room, but it hasn't been on as of yet and it was just kind of there. My brother doesn't own one either, if he really needs to watch a movie, he's got computers.

I wasn't either Kali. My parents thought that if I had access to video games, I'd never get homework done. But they let me watch TV and they still nagged and nagged until I get it done, so I think they just used that as an excuse. They didn't mind me playing video games on my computer when they bought me that, but they never did like the idea of me having a console game system. My first was a PS2 that I got as a high school graduation present from my godmother. She didn't want to get that for me either, but she asked what I wanted, so that's what I told her. Smiley: grin

I got my first console (also a PS2) off my money I earned when I lived in the US. Brought it back to Germany, my mum tried to chuck it out the window. I saved it...

The only thing I was allowed to watch on TV were nature documentaries. I was only allowed on the Internet when my mum could supervise what I did on there. I was allowed to go to this anime watching night once a month from when I was 15 or so, at least... but always had to leave at 7:45 and never did - that's why it was once a month, I was usually grounded. Smiley: lol

my mom recently shared the story about how when my brother was little, she and my dad would trade off feeding him and playing space invaders.

I've played videogames for most of my life. My parents bought me a Gameboy at the request of my doctor so that I'd have full use of my thumbs. Yay medicine!

Not everyone plays or needs vodeo games. I didn't play my first video game till I was in my mid 20's. And that was on a friends Apple 2e computer. Years later I started my first Video game of my own on my first computer. It was FFXI about 12 years ago.

I don't remember it being so bad that someone saying "I don't play video games" would be considered the best part of a day.

I remember high school as a lot of boring classes, a lot of drinking at lame parties and chasing tail way above my league.

Good times.

High school before the US for me: I was emo, I hung out with diplomats when skiving, I listened to horrible music. Religious friends.

High school in the US: OH GOD I AM BORED THIS COUNTRY IS SO LAME. Turns out what's lame is northern FL.

High school after the US: ******* I need money for heroin, I'm gonna start making some.

My high school experience was not typical, but I actually am pretty sure there were some folks in my school who never played video games either.

Then again, near the end of my senior year everyone had a Tamagotchi. I suppose that sort of counts as a video game.

Tamagotchis were not a game. They were a way of life.

Maybe he comes from a family so rich he spent his days yachting, playing polo and getting blowjobs from the French au pair.

I got a Tamigotchi in 8th grade, and I had it for about a week before I lost it. Smiley: frown I remember my mom making a big deal out of buying me one because it was a whole whopping $15 Smiley: yikes and made me promise I would leave it at home so I wouldn't lose it. What my mom didn't get, was that those things were a fad/status symbol, so there wasn't a point to having one if you didn't take it to school with you. So naturally, I took it to school anyways, and I lost it. Ah, youth...
