Sometimes, it's really okay not to make a thread about whatever pops into your head. Especially when there's a recent and similar thread already.

I like dairy.

I switched over to Lactaid milk, even though I am not lactose intolerant, because I drink so little of it that a normal quart would go bad before I finished it. Lactaid lasts like a whole month in the fridge.

The organic milk I buy in the paper cartons lasts about that long. I think it might be the container.

You know what else keeps milk fresh for a long time? Bags.

I like dairy because my Eastern European genetics makes me feel superior to inferior people who can't consume dairy without issues.

I'm extremely happy that I was out of elementary school before they started doing this. I already have a white milk phobia. Had my chocolate milk come in bags, I probably wouldn't drink that either.

This is why I have a roommate with a dairy allergy. :P

Funny thing...a few years ago I laid off of milk. (CnH2n+1OH) kind of replaced it. When I drink milk now, I fart like a Mexican mule.

We don't need dairy, we need calcium. Calcium comes in other food besides dairy products, it's just easier for us vegetable hating slackers to get calcium from dairy products. I do love me some dairy though. Particularly milk and cheese. Yogurt is good too. Ice cream I have to be in the mood for.

You mean CH3CH2OH? (which doesn't even add up to that, btw)

On the topic of dairy, this map is pretty cool, and I like Kala Kand and Barfi, at least sometimes. Also, rice pudding. Ari...?

Today at work, the boss's wife (who apparently was bored today) stopped off at the local ice cream shop that just opened for the season and bought a couple quarts of the really tasty and incredibly unhealthy custard they make and brought it in to us. Yeah, she's pretty much the only reason I haven't beaten the crap out of my boss at this point.

Funny, my mom has to drink Lactaid milk. As soon as you open it, it spoils within about 5-7 days. I cannot imagine it lasting a month in the fridge unless it remained factory sealed that whole time.

The organic stuff doesn't, so it could be something else.

I've had one carton go bad, but that is because I left it on the counter for a few hours by accident.

Maybe your mom needs a new fridge?
