So that is like the Springfield area? That town is big enough to still have public transportation. I live between there and STL, so it is just small towns all 5-10min away. So I had and have to drive to do and/or get anything.

No, but as someone who ranges between left leaning moderate to raging liberal hippie, I'd rather be stuck dealing with chicago's corrupt democracts than the rest of the state's corrupt republicans.

I'm in the Bloomington-Normal, which has a public transit system, I just don't have any reason to use it, because I can't find a goddamn job.

No one can. One of my younger brothers really needs a full time job and has had 0 luck. Heck it took me years to find one (and I do not really enjoy it, because it is boring).

I remember learning how to drive. My mom was hammered at the bar one night, called me on the house phone and demanded that I walk 2 miles to the bar and drive her home.
