We've had some good times, OOT/Asylum, from the perennial meltdowns, ding threads, spamming, gaming, that one admin slot that always seems to attract creepers, Mindel's Huntingtons, internet tigers, Allegory's bad touch, and run on sentences. But we've had some bad times too; the tragedy of Brown Duck, the fact that I'm still not guru, Senji's child abuse and worst of all Almalieque. All in all, it certainly was a Jophiel Jophiel Jophiel, I think we can all agree on that. Or at least that this post is like, woah, TL;DR.
This Ding thread is a multi-parter. It's a ding thread, but it's also a contest of wits and wills.
Part One: The Naming of the Names.

:Getting past security
----------------------------
Those of you who managed at least a passable grade on your entrance examination wake up in austere structure, It appears the facilitators of this grand adventure have what could be colloquially described as a 'minimalist design sense'. Every wall is pristinely white, broken up only by thin metalic mechanisms ever so often, which seem to serve as gateway mechanisms - or more plainly, elaborate keyholes. You don't see anyone else around, The staffing seems as sparse as the walls. You decide that you'd like a look around and proceed to walk the halls; and as you approach the walls with the metallic grids on them, After a brief flash of light, the wall swiftly moves upward, granting you access. Continuing on in this fashion, you eventually make you way to one of these grates, which is unlike the others. The wall behind it is pitch black, standing out like a sore thumb in the sea of white around it. Intrigued, you approach, and a shrill siren breaks the stifling silence, screaming in protest. An unseen intercom echo's it's sentiments, informing you that "SECURITY SHALL REMOVE ALL INTRUDERS FROM THE COMPLEX". Feeling unwilling to meet said security team, you should try you hand at proceeding forward. Taking a closer look at the doorway mechanisms, it seems to be a 5x5 grid panel, with 20 small holes located around it. Bold red letters have appeared above this panel, and atop the other doorways, stating "MANUAL ONLY". Reaching out to touch the mechanism, a narrow beam of colored light is emitted from each of the small holes in the outer rim. The colors swirl and clash, and the door does not move. Examining one of the other doors, you see that there are tiny mirrors are diagonally positioned on the grid-work, such that the light would be reflected in an orderly fashion. To test this, you touch this white door and the beams of light intersect in a much less random way, hitting other beams of similar color. and the door opens abruptly. you move on to a third normal door, and relieve it of it's mirrored plates, 10 in all, and return to the black door. Seeking to escape the splitting headache that the siren and intercom are producing you start in on cracking the optical key frame. As these mirrors are fragile, no more than two can be placed in any one row or column of the grid.
A closeup of the circuitry of the black door.
