I've just had my last sandwich ruined by my crappy peppercorn grinder, which has apparently decided it is no longer a peppercorn grinder, but a peppercorn "slice-in-half-and-call-it-good"-er. Anybody know of a good, hopefully not too expensive hand grinder?

Really? When I take a bite of a sandwich and chomp down on half a peppercorn, it's real appetite killer, but different strokes for different folks I suppose.

I just get the pre-made McCormick Peppercorn Medley grinder. It's about three bucks, and since it comes with a new grinder every time, the grinder always works.

My trash company takes it as recycling too Smiley: schooled

I've had problems with the premade ones. The peppercorns sneak by the grinder.

The problem seems to be lack of rigidity with the plastic parts. So, I'd look for something that has no plastic parts.

I find the press kinds work very well, and since they aren't plastic never break.

The one on the left, not right. I also use one for salt, but I use it as a grinder with a coarse flavoured salt, not as a shaker.

Hmm, those are pretty interesting. Do they get clogged at all?
