Or maybe you're assuming my blanket statement doesn't allow for somethings that may be exceptions, so I'm trolling you now.

Hubby has one last final on Thursday for his art history class. He's really not looking forward to the written portion of that exam.

I've never understood this need to cram. Either you know it or you don't. There shouldn't be any need beyond a simple review, unless you were simply @#%^ing the pooch all year long. If you're cramming then you're just filling your head to regurgitate it and will forget it all later on in which case you've just wasted a semester and your money.

This has been my experience as well. Unfortunately, I'm just getting ready to go back to school after having been in the corporate world for the last 6 years, so I'm worried I'll have lost my magic academic touch that was carefully honed through my formative years (I was one of those "never does anything in class, but still gets A's" types), and that my work ethic has been destroyed by years of office work drudgery.

Also, I still have this dream fairly regularly. Smiley: frown

I went to a college that really didn't consider Finals a major part of your grade.
After a couple of Dorm divers during final week they changed things. Anyways My collage
days are long gone. Congrats on your surviving another year of college!

I dunno. When I hear 'cram' I think of my friends who would stay up all night the day before the final in the library quizzing each other with flashcards or something.

When I hear 'cram', I think of The Hobbit, but I suppose that's just me.

I had one on Friday (should've aced it), one on Tuesday (flunked the last question, but might still get into the highest mark band which would put me at more than twice the marks I need for a pass), got one in 13 hours which I still need to revise for a wee bit, and got a terrifying one on Friday which I also still need to revise for - I've got a revision buddy and a postgrad specialising in that stuff who offered to help, so it should go okay. I still need to remind myself that I only need a bit over half the marks to pass with honours...

Finished yesterday. No clue on grades.

Once that was done, I had to spend the afternoon doing Arts & Crafts to make presents for my office.

(They're getting little wooden IT diagnostic dice. No clue why the thing isn't working? Roll the dice! It'll either tell you "Reboot it", "Reinstall it", "Ask Google", "HDD Crashed", "Check Plug", or my favorite, "It's dead, Jim." Total cost for 15 dice - $21. Hand made with love.)

In about ten minutes I will be emailed the most terrifying final exam I have ever taken in my life. Three hours of SQL, XML, database modeling, and other scary things.

Then I just have to whip up a quick android app for the other class and I'm done for the semester.

Any other OOT students out there in finals hell/misery right now?

In the meantime, back to desperately cramming XML into my head.

I completed my last final today and I graduate with my B.S. in Criminology this weekend =) weeee

Looking forward to arresting those naughty criminals aren't you? :D

Just finished my ESE380-Embedded Microprocessor Systems Design final today and felt good about it. Made some stupid mistakes but I'm still hoping for a good grade. Still have my ESE330-Integrated Electronics final on monday with a group project and a silly classical mythology final on tuesday.

Then only three more semesters to go for me. ESE300, ESE345(Computer Architecture), ESE/CSE346(Computer Communications), ESE/CSE360(Network Security Engineering), ESE382(Digital Design using VHDL and PLDs), ESE440/ESE441(Senior Design Project), CSE306(Operating Systems), and a couple of generic DEC classes. I might end up taking another moon class, or some extra upper level cse/ese classes that are interesting if I have free space.
