Pretty sure that's the equivalent of dividing by zero.

Admins... In this scenario, which of you is Chuck Norris, and which of you is Captain Falcon?

This is, of course, assuming that both individuals are wearing Kaminashades.

edit: I totally forgot that was filtered Smiley: laugh (filter broken for the sake of clarity since it's not profanity, just annoying)

Darqflame has Manager Admin settings. Which basically means she has more buttons than me on her admin console. Most of those deal with financials and whatnot. She can also rename you. On the other hand, I have a higher ban count than every other admin throughout history combined and squared. Most of those were PM spammers, of which there were literally multiple tens of thousands.

Kao, see if there is a varussword1 in the old ubb archives.

Varrus is one of the crazy people we inhereted from the old EQ forum "Casters Realm" before they ceased existing. At one point, they were the largest rivals to these forums in terms of population and scope. Their mods were actually quicker to ban people than we were by several orders of magnitude. Scary, huh.

Mystery solved! The UBB profile apperently didn't survive in the archive though, so we'll never know the exact date.

What I'd like to know is, isn't every day "ask an admin" day?

Admin! What's my karma?
Admin! Can you lock this triplicate thread?
Admin! How do you spell FAQ?
Admin! How do I balance a checkbook?
Admin! ...

I'd imagine the asking never ends. Smiley: oyvey Thanks for the answers, though.

Technically, yes. People seem to think that asking us things sometimes will annoy us though. I don't know why, thats what we are here for, and thats why we get paid. The happier people are with their forum experiance, the more they post, and the more people read those posts. Removing triple posts and whatnot is all part of that. Of course you can't please all the people all the time, and we do deal with more than our fair share of people who have a definitely unique worldview, but overall its not too bad.

The reason we started Ask an Admin day was basically because of the Magi incident. It gives people the chance to see the admins, interact with them, maybe find out a few things about us and realize that we are approchable so if an incident like that ever occurs again, people know there is somewhere they can go for recourse. Also, for rumaor control, etc.

If he just blurted out what he meant, which is 'I hate ethnic people more than gbaji' then corporate would have an issue.

I was just being silly. To be fair and honest, you deal with ******* insane crowd very well, and as far as I know, you don't like ethnic people. If there were Drow, and they worshipped Lolth, however, it would be OK if you treated them badly.

I try to base my dislike of people more on their actions and how much annoyance they cause me rather than any particular ethnicities. If they are annoying and also spiders, I probably will dislike them quite a bit. The spiders started it though...

Just to clear things up: if they worshipped a spider goddess, you might not like them?

Worshiping a spider goddess might be a good way to get the spiders to leave you alone.

Maybe not that one, since she'd probably send some to kill you just to alleviate boredom. But maybe if you found some kind of neutral spider deity.

I think all spiders kind of fall into the "Chaotic Evil" category.

I know her name predates the term, but I will never be able to look at Lolth name without seeing the lol in it stand out.

I prefer to say it "Lloth" since that's how it is in Drow and it looks a damned sight better.

From what I hear not consuming liquids in the desert quickens the onset of death. If take a hit to the Kidneys or Liver to avoid that I think.

Thinking like that is why people die from dehydration at sea. They figure that being thirsty sucks more than drinking saltwater, so they drink the saltwater, quell the thirst and then die from dehydration as the body goes into super water expulsion mode.

If you find yourself without water in a desert, put a rock in your mouth and hope you survive until someone finds you. Walking in the desert is generally a bad idea as we tend to walk in circles once our sense of direction is lost - which it would be in a desert.

Take a 90 degree turn every 10 minutes, that should keep you from walking in circles.
