Why does everybody want to know their user notes? Presumably you're aware of where you @#%^ed up on the forums, unless you're just trying to let everyone else know what you did for some kind of weird internet street-cred? Smiley: confused

Well, I had totally forgotten about that whole **** thingy, but that wasn't my fault! Web pages that don't mention anything about hotlinking, and furthermore replace anything hotlinked with a collage of goatse related things shouldn't be allowed to exist; even if caturday related! Actually, that note should probably be removed, since it makes it seem like I deliberately posted disguised **** on the forum.. lol

Second to last I think actually.

Bah.

If I'm not mistaken I do believe Nexa was the last one.

As to the admin notes curiosity, unless you're someone like BT that's broken just about every rule there is, you should already know pretty much what they are. If I had to guess, I'd say mine would go a bit like this:

Account creation stuff
Premium stuff
Won a silly FFXI clock during the month long contest.
Won a copy of Conan from the Conan contest (it's never been opened).
Made a fuss about getting my named changed.
No rated twice.

Are the contents of our posts the property of zam.com?

For example, is my DingartTM pending "mine" to use as I wish elsewhere, or is it "not mine" and I'll get my britches sued off if I use them elsewhere?

Edited, Dec 17th 2009 10:17pm by Bijou

I'm pretty sure the way the terms of service are written your posts are yours to use as you see fit, but by posting them here you also give us the right to use them, specifically via reply to quote and things of that nature. Or if we wanted to take a post and copy it to the front page. etc. We couldn't sell your dingart for example, but you also likely couldn't successfully sue us if we put one of them on the front page. I doubt it is something that will come up often.

One area I have seen is when someone submits a post to become a guide for a game, and then later gets pissed at us and wants that guide removed, we have removed them. Also if somethign was posted and the person posting it stole it from someone else and us phosting it would put us in copyright violation, we also immidiatly remove things.

If you post stuff to the wiki it's no longer yours as a memorable case showed :D However I think someone did redo most of that content eventually.

In case it hasn't been answered:

How come you don't like spiders, Kao? Any particular childhood trauma involved?

I guess that's two questions, but they sort of go together.

Also, I think I have a question.

I came up with a new question.

When we use the "report post" function, do you guys actually read our posted reasons or am I overthinking what I post in my reasons section?

/praise Kao for win thread

I remember getting muted awhile back, what other notes might I have??

I also remember when I was muted that I humbly appologized and vowed a new turned leaf, question: is it always so easy to be un-muted?

Wiki's are different. a forum post is yours. its your content, no one else but an admin can change it. Wiki is a shared sandbox. Once you put your toys in the sharad sandbox, they are communal toys and you don't get to take them home when you leave.

When I was 12, out at my Grandparent's farm, there was an old 57 chevy in pieces. Me, being an inquisitive youth prone to assembling things, was trying to see if enough parts were there to make a real car out of it someday. As I flipped over a wheel laying on the ground, I discovered a very large and very pissed off black widow heading straight for my fingers. It struck at me, I was quicker. That was the first time.

The second time, I was at home. I was asleep when i felt something walk over my stomache. Half asleep still, I look down and see a brown spider walking across my bare skin. I sit bolt upright and stupidly sweep the spider off with my bare hand, braining myself on the oak bunk bed above in the process. spider hits the bed, Starts running back towards me. I grab one of the shoes, kill it, and then later identify it as a brown recluse. That was the second time.

After that, I bug bombed and spider trapped and did my best to eradicate them as a species. I discovered that my childhood home was filled with many more deadly spiders than I would ever have given credit to. We had a thriving colony of recluses, and anyone who says they are not present in washington is absolutly full of ****.

So yeah. the little bastards are out to get me. So I fear them.

I would have picked me actually, since most of my posts involve a fair amount of whimsy. Non admin whimsiest? maybe Tare?

What makes me laugh? Bad puns, any form of humor reserved for the B movie crowd, Mimes experiancing tramatic incidents, the usual.

About Darqflame's wedding, all I can add is that despite my suggestion, she is NOT getting married at 20,000 ft inside a tricked out zepplin.

User notes are often an indication of if we expect to have to look back at them someday and take action on them.

Other forums? Lets see. I tend to lurk in the fark and engadget forums from time to time. I have a fair post count in the wtfcomics.com forums (page is down at the moment) I have been known to post in the various eq and eq2 forums, and the Firiona vie EQ server forum. I used to post a fair amount on macrossworld.com, but not recently. I have maybe 2-3k more posts on various Radio Control and hobby message boards. Alot of those are under my other gamer handle though.

Not usually. Depends on the admin. And the day. And whatever it is you did.
