Remembering KyrinFollow

I'll admit, I didn't know her very well. We met only a month or two ago on the multi-game forum, but she seems like a pretty nice person when I read her posts. I hope her family will be able to cope with this...

Wow. I think... given the choice, I'd rather have anyone I know die of some long-term illness than something as sudden and unexpected as an auto accident. There's no time to say goodbye

I understand what you are saying and I knd of agree with you. Losing someone close to you in the snap of a finger is never easy and leaves you with alot of "what if" questions....

I can also second this. In february I lost my best friend, who had a terminal illness, although at the moment it was under control. He was very healthy at the time, but he got mugged and shot in the head.

There is absolulely nothing that can prepare you for the sudden loss of a loved one. I believe, in his case, he wouldve preferred dying if not from the disease, at the very least older (he was 22). To this day, there is no answer to our questions. Just a neverending numbing feeling.

In my mind, i had been preparing and accepting the fact that someday, he would probably die and I'd have to deal with it... but to lose him like that. Its very tough.

I'm so sorry about this death. A big taru hug to everyone who's mourning.

I guess a limerick in a song that is shared by all of us may be appropriate.

I may know the answers,
though one question I still hear.
What twist in fate has brought us
to roads that run so near?

Distant worlds together.
Miracles from realms beyond.
The lifelight burns inside me
to sing to you this song.
To sing with you this song.
To sing to you your song.

Okay, one request. If you all find out I've died, and you feel moved to comment (and you will, if only for the reflected attention), please for the love of all that's holy use spell check and learn the difference between, say, a limerick and a lyric.

Thanks in advance.

So long as we're on the subject, if I die before I get the chance, someone post those pictures of Melody's ******.

Thanks in advance.

If I die, I'll be glad knowing that niobia will be going onto social work school or a psychology program and she can psychonanalyze the can of mixed nuts here in my absence.

I had only met Kyrin last year around fall, I met her when a friend asked me to do Chains of Promathia missions with her group. Even though I have only known her for a short time, she and I became good friends.

I remember being really scared because I would be doing a mission with a group of unfamiliar people. However, she reached out to me and made me feel welcomed, and the fear subsided. Together we were able to complete Chains of Promathia, something that I believe I would never have been able to accomplish.

She was a lovely person who was always able to brighten my day. Even after she left Cerberus, we still kept in touch over MSN. We could talk about anything together; whether it be music or books or video games.

No words can express how much I miss her. I know that one common thing when accepting the loss of a friend is that they're in a "better place", and there is nothing more I wish then that to be true. I will miss you, my good friend. May you rest in peace...

I'm currently working on a project with Darqflame to put together a wiki page in memory of Kylin. I wanted to include some form of eulogy to go with the hymn and comments so far received.

What I need are some stories of Kylin from her friends. Send them via PM please.

Also, since the comments will be going up on the wiki as pulled from this thread, if you want to have a different name aside from your posting name associated with your quote, please PM me with it.

And Admins, don't hate me, I'm going to be cross posting to all the threads to avoid creating new threads for threads that already exist..

Edit: And if someone here who knows when she started WoW/FFXI as well, would help for the eulogy.

Pawk, She started playing FFXI just a few weeks after I did. I started playing when it released in NA for the PS2, which was March of 04 so Id say April 04 is when she started playing FFXI. WoW I do not know when she started playing.

I want to thank eveyone who contributed to this thread. Kyrin was a good friend of mine, both online and offline and it has been devastating learning of her death. Knowing that this many people cared enough and share in the pain enough to make this thread as big as it is means alot to me as Im sure it does all her other friends on here.

I don't know her, but my condolences go out to her family regardless. Always a sad occasion to hear someone depart this world early in their life.

This situation made me send a rather "different than normal" email to a long time friend..Not that I took her for granted or anything but you never know. These things..happen unexpectedly.

Didn't really know Kyrin that well, though she did talk to me a bit, back when I was on cerb. Her death, it hit me hard.
