1. What have been your personal best and worst experiences working as an Allakhazam administrator? Directed at both DF and Kaolian, and any other admin who cares to answer.

2. What is my primary IP address when I post with ip forwarding on my Timelordwho account?

1. Best experiance is either getting to help people, or getting to smite the truly deserving. Allanois was a pretty good experiance too, though that would have happened regardless of admin status. There is somethign really satisfying about detecting a gold spammer creating 16 accounts to rapid fire spam your site and destroying them all before they even get a chance!

Worst experiance was probably various personal attacks. Death threats from unstable people are never fun. Nor is being accused of being a sexual deviant of the most foul nature on several occasions. That or being the person who is obligated to click on the link to see what it is. I have a pretty hardened stomache to most things, especially given my previous job in Intel. we saw some pretty ****** up ****. But some of the things people post here from time to time, which luckily most of you don't ever see, can be really, really disturbing.

Agreed! I would like to see an anime forum here.

Also agreed. Not that I don't like my journal getting use, but it hardly gets the attention that a real forum would.

I know some of you have met in real life, be it fan festival or other official event gatherings. I know you guys also play the game just like the rest of us, and it's always fun to see you poking your heads into normal threads and adding game related content and opinions other than just admin stuff. So I'd ask what kind of things you discuss when you meet each other in person. Do you usually stick to just business and game related chit chat, or since you're human like the rest of us do you have any real world hot topic conversations that you like to talk about, be it other hobbies or whatnot.

Well we don't meet up in real life all that often actually. But we do all talk constantly in the admin IRC channel. If you take a look at Pikko's journal, she has some snippets of some of the more hilarious conversations that take place in there. Much of what goes on is official work related stuff, but we all talk games and computers, hobbies, TV shows (and the hilarious results when one of the east coasters spoils the show for one of us west coasters) We talk about forum posters, When you see 15 admins decend on a single forum, it's usually because another admin linked a thread. Politics works in often too, though most of the other admins are democrats so I am usually in the minority on those discussions. I also frequintly torture people with very, very bad puns.

There are definitly posters we tend to dislike more than others. The ones that constantly make more messes for us to clean up. Or the ones who try to get us fired over stupid sh*t.

That was in reference to posters like gordraiden, or the ones who e-mail our bosses directly after we yell at them to take down their goatse avatar and claim we are repressing their freedoms and should be fired. It happens about once every 2 months, and almost nothing ever comes of it.

Start a petition thread in feedback forum and get a significant number of people to sign it. if it gains enough support I'll get one added.

You have none, and whilst I would not presume to speak for the lady, I'm pretty sure "nao prz" just ruined any chances you may have had.

depends on if it has a working engine. 1 if it does, you sell it for a lifetime supply of gas. (thats what we do with our banned goldseller souls!)
2 if it doesn't.

It's supposed to look like this:

You're so Kaain
I bet you think this title's about you

Danalog "forgot" to mention an avatar change would erase it and I've been inconsistently whining about it ever since.

I voted for McCain. he would have been only a 4 year president, and he wasn't really the best choice for it, but some of Obama's policies scare me.

Hehe, ok. Got freshened up and going to bed for real this time. But I have to comment on this.

Quote:

I have never seen this in all my years of visiting the site, but I must say that if I ever did I would probably stay as far far away from my account login button as possible (although I'd probably watch in anonymity because with THAT kinda attention the fireworks would most definitely be spectacular, and I'd assume a lot of others here would do the same. As they say, curiosity and mithra or something like that Smiley: tongue).

Peace everyone =^..^=

As more and more games continue to blur the lines between online and offline experiences, is Allakhazam considering covering more than just MMORPGs?

It already, unofficially, is. See OFF TOPIC Forum.

Or do you mean officially?

Edited: helpful suggestion
