Not an admin, but the correct answer is either ELO, or Journey.

Can we change the color system for the ranks to reflect the true order of the WoW gear hierarchy?

Sub-Default user - Grey (Trash)
New user/no rank - White (Common)
Scholar - Green (Uncommon)
Sage - Blue (Rare)
Guru - Purple (Epic)
Admin - Orange (Legendary)

I think it would much more WoW like to have the ranks reflecting the same structure as the game items.

No because not everyone is lame and plays wow.

That's true, but to be fair, only the people viewing the WoW forum would be able to see the WoW forum's color scheme.

You and whoever else it was, because I kept sending out people as 'gifts' to make money. I beleive the post was "And what were those gifts about?" ...

Question 1: What will happen when Jophiel reaches 100,000 posts?

No one knows for sure, but our top scientists predict the creation of a massive black hole followed by the implosion of all life as we know it. Should be fun!

Lord Hapernack wrote:

Question 2: What kind of qualities tend to be beneficial (other than obvious ones like programming experience) to applications when open admin sections are available?

One of the big ones is "what have you put into the site" we look at wiki edits people have made, their posts, items they have submitted for entry, etc. And how long have those occured? if you have never done anythign for the site and then suddenly start when you apply we notice. We also look for people who "know their ****" when it comes to gaming. Also, writeing ability is key. as is, unfortunatly for me, Spelling. I live in constant fear that they will ever discover my truly atrocious spelling ability (or lack therof)

Question 3: Did Exo ever disclose to you his favorite type of cheese? He always used to avoid that question Smiley: motz.

I think his favorite is "yes please"

Oh, another question, particularly aimed at Darqflame:

Will you be playing WoW more often with us in the future?

What kind of languages/programming knowledge are usually looked for to become an admin? *looks at her brand new Web Development AST degree and joblessness*

Shamelessness aside, has there ever been a positive pivotal moment in any of the experiences you've all had as admins? You know, one of those moments were you just think "damn I love this job." Or maybe the opposite if more applicable, hehe.

I played last night! But yes, especially since it's colder. I was going to hang out with Wordaen and his guild, but I don't think that's going to happen. However I did find this fantastic guild on Khaz. How do you guys feel about my little one hanging out with ya? ROFL

Having been an Admin and moderator on several other sites over the years. I've often been asked this Question.

Does the Admin/moderators Play favorites with posters here?

That question is always kind of a loaded one. Ideally all us admins would be completely impartial across the board. In reality, I'm probably going to give more weight to the oppinion of a long time poster than I am to a "1 post wonder" who is whineing about something. There are definitly posters we tend to dislike more than others. The ones that constantly make more messes for us to clean up. Or the ones who try to get us fired over stupid ****.

I really try to avoid favoritism. But I'd be lying if I claimed that every once in a while I didn't side with one of the old time regulars over one thing or another. Your old school posters are hard to replace, you have to be nice to them.

Programmers won't touch that atm, I can, but all your pix and avatars will break. Your decision. PM me.
