You know we Americunts are far too stubborn to do that. SO basically, deal with it.

God, living in Florida my entire life and hearing these numbers is mind-boggling. I've always thought I was weird for thinking 65 degrees was a comfortable temperature while everyone else around me is bundled in sweaters and coats and the like.

I use the woodburning stove rather than the furnace, because my electric bill is already over $500 a month. I imagine I get this place over 75 degrees regularly, but I don't check.

Mine isn't used at all between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

As soon a 4:30 hits though, it kicks on at 68 degrees and stays there. Everyone else complains that it's too cold, but they can go to hell.

Ours stays at 70 all day. I get cold easily, so 68 is just too low.. Plus we have a second story that we only use at night.

I definitely think 75 is too high, no matter what the temp is in the house or outside..

Oh, and the person that made the comment about 75 in winter and 65 during summer.. I know what you mean. Typically we keep 70 all winter cus the kids and I are actually home. In the summer, I wait until the last minute to turn on the AC. I freeze during the summer because my husband likes it cold..And he burns up in the winter because I like it hot.

Instead of Fahrenheit or Celsius, how about using the Kelvin system, or whatever the other one is that Scientists use.

72 in winter, 68ish in Summer. The temperature inside must be two degrees from 70 in the opposite direction of the temperature outside.
