Damn it, Firefox!Follow
The last three days it's been extremely slow. Pages load slowly, and text boxes are incredibly slow to register my text only to catch up really quick. It isn't my computer because IE works fine. Reinstalling didn't do anything. Anybody got an answer?

are you using no script? if so...and you might not like this...turn it off, or allow scripts globally.
The thought scares me but I'll give it a shot. Watch for the edit.
Edit- Nope. lolMyspace did at first but subsequent pages showed the same slowdown. Long forum pages (I used Sora's thread) still took longer to load than it should have.

I work for Geek Squad, so I tend to browse that forum pretty often. There are tons of things I figure it could have been. Just curious, really.

It turned out to be my download history, oddly enough. I'm surprised that it would have any effect at all.

It'll eventually get to the point where things like Youtube videos will literally lock up Firefox. I have no idea how they're connected, or why they're connected. Just some bad programming for ya.

I have mine set up to clear private data every time FireFox closes. It leaves cookies and saved passwords alone but everything else gets wiped out.
