You're one of the dumb ones, I'm not going to argue it with you because I truely feel angry. You make all Atheists I know look bad, and you're a disgraceful one at that.

You're stupid statement about theism is so broad that you're basically saying it was wrong for Gandhi to stand up against Chairman Mao, you're stupid blanket statements are the exact reason we can't have a working Communist state.

Gandhi didn't stand up solely because of Theism. Nice try though.

For ever 1 good person Theism brings, there are 100,000 stupid, ignorant, shit-kicking, fuckasses that outweigh any good deed that 1 person might have done.

Jesus may or may not have existed. Even if he did, all his great deeds are over shadowed by the very 'people of God' (I use that term loosely) that committed serious crimes or social solecisms.

Smiley: lol Welcome to my world. Yet nothing continues to defeat their own purpose and yet still manages to survive quite as well as Theism.

Yeah, you win. I can't argue against ignorance. It's kinda the definition of ignorance.

Please, you're playing the dumb card right now. You're brethren are acting like complete assholes and I'm calling you out on it.

You can't make a single point without me giving you at least 10 counterpoints.

I probably know more about Christianity than you do, which is sad, because I'm an Atheist.

Only Sogoro was able to defend his faith well. You are just as lackluster about you're own pathetic religion as well any other one I've had the distinct displeasure of meeting.

So, if you are unable to hold a simple conversation then what is the point hellboi?

You're silly Rime, I'm not going to have a "simple" argument with you. The point is you're living your life and you're unwilling to change a thing about it. That's fine, I got a little angry and I kind of jumped off the handle because it's early in the morning. You're offensive and not even in the BarkingTurtle sense, he's atleast classy about it. You're like a broken record and I'm just not going to participate in this waltz. Unfortunately he is. The guy has been in my Hometown 2 times since the Matthew Shepard killing. Once to protest a gay Marines funeral, and once to protest a Matthew Shepard vigile-thing(I can't remember exactly what it was). But seeing as how both got a little media, since both were from my hometown, the guy decided to show up and protest.

The guy is actually serious when he protests such things.

Maybe in ignorant retardland, where you reside, but in the real world the good done by people having faith far outweighs the evils perpetrated in its name. Now yes, the evils get far more press, and I'm not surprised you'd be the type of moron who would paint everyone with faith with a brush handed to you by the nightly news, but that doesn't make your girlfriend any less ugly.

There are obviously tangible benefits to acts done by people with faith, such as charitable giving and work, and there is a far greater nontangible benefit to humanity from people who respect their fellow man due to faith. That benefit cannot be measured, that's what nontangible means, dumbfUck. The benefit of following an ethical code, no matter from whence it springs, is more valuable than any detriment random fanatics may cause.

And I'm not religious in any way. I don't even have faith in God. I think it's a romantic idea that there is some benevolent overseer watching us and sighing in satisfaction at his creation, but I'm more of an atheist then anything, and I can still see the value of people believing.

The real beauty of my own personal ethos, though, is that I don't feel like I'm going to hell for saying that you're probably the most intensely stupid person ever to be pushed out of the festering ****** of a *****. I only say "probably" because you're neck and neck with Dorkette for that title.

There have been a couple of programs about this family in the UK recently.
In one of them the presenter asked one of the main women about how she could hold these views when one of her kids was born out of wedlock, which goes against their beliefs and is one of the things they abuse others over. The look on her face was priceless.
And surely not wise to **** off a room full of marines who are already upset. I'm surprised they haven't been beaten or shot yet.

You were absolutely correct.

I was already long gone to bed by the time that was posted.

And no, it's not equating them, at least not completely. I was simply stating how you could be reprimanded by abusing both of them.

You know... it's not the extremists that are the dangerous ones. They are wacko enough that people know they are idiots.

It's the ones that are just slightly near the edge, yet appear normal, who are the problem. Like my grandmother. She's a devout christian, and if you ever met her, you'd think she was a fine person. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Yet you talk to her at all you find out that what she believes is so vastly ignorant you are suprised anyone raised by her can be normal. What she says about Athiests, Muslims, and anything else... makes you want to slap her. (She also holds Bill O'rielly in very high respect).

So let the extremists be crazy, everyone knows they are. They aren't the real dangers.
