He has heavily eye-linered eyes, but he's not Chris Crocker.
He has way teased out hair, but he's not Robert Smith.
He's a piano man, but he's not Elton John.
He's a comedian, but he's not Dennis Leary.
He's a little bit dark, but he's not Trent Reznor.
He's weirdly sexy, but he's not John Travolta.
He's weird, but he's not Steve Buscemi.

He's the latest, greatest thing to come out of Australia: TIM MINCHIN!

Tim at the Royal Albert Hall, with his romantic, sweet, melodious ode to his favourite lover (5:08, lyrics NSFW):

This is Tim on “The Sideshow”, a comedy/variety show I watch on Saturdays in Australia. Nobody does a love song like Tim. How offensive can this one possibly get? (5:33, lyrics NSFW):

“The Sideshow” again, but he's got a poem for us this time! Oh God! I've heard this poem so many times, and it still makes me ache laughing. It's called Angry(Feet). (5:06, a few swear/hate words)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=-lktd1OBHVI

In three lines, Tim Minchin brings the dove of peace to the Jews and Muslims in the Middle East! (7:11):
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vNs1ksphqf0 7:11.

This is from just a week or two ago on “The Sideshow”. Autobiography always works. I'm so in love. Or maybe it's just the lighting. (8:40):

“The Sideshow” again. By the end of “Not Perfect” I feel like my heart is wrenched right out of my chest, and yet I'm strangely uplifted. (7:03):

Oh come on, give yourself some credit.

He is pretty awesome, though.

I might check it out at home, if this is still bumped or you remind me.

I wasn't going to post just to be a repeat, but after listening to them all I thought I would. Thanks for posting this, I enjoyed every second of the clips. He's simply hilarious.

I saw him live last summer, in a circus tent with maybe 40 people in it. freaking rocked

I didn't watch all of those videos, just a couple, but I didn't see him as too similar to Bobcat...I also didn't find this fellow too entertaining at all, but I'm a fan of more whimsical comedy with a semi-serious execution. Mitch Hedburg and Demetri Martin are two people I'm pretty fond of, the former being dead =[

Lots and lots of it, in the case of Mitch Hedberg.

Demetri Martin? I believe he was birthed with coke in his bloodstream.

I liked the first couple, the others were quite 'meh'.

He has good timing and knows how to work the funny pause, he just needs funnier jokes.

Smiley: dubious

I think, perhaps, you meant Billy Joel?
