Or, since you are apparently part Native American, you could go to college on the gubberments dime, flunk out for drinking too much a semester before graduation, go back to the rez, live on wellfare drinking 5 days a week, raise a passel of kids and teach them that it's all the white man's fault.

I gave my mom a car once, because I love her.

My college fund paid lawyer's fees for a crime I didn't commit, too.

Just saying, sh*t is tough all over for all folks. Having a functioning relationship with your mother will be worth far more than a couple thousand dollars in the long run.
The relationship I have with my mom is far past functioning Smiley: laugh It's lucky enough that we're on speaking terms.

If anyone knows how to get through college with no money, it's Nexa.

Edit: I just remembered how spoiled I am. My mother, for about 10 years, bought savings bonds twice a month for me. We used some of them when we bought our house, but I still have about $10,000 left in bonds. Smiley: grin

I sold my clarinet for $50 for bus fare to get to college.

People like you provide me with VERY good Guitars for about 10% of the new- off the shelf price.

Always finding guitars at Pawn Shops that are in excellent condition, sound great, and the only reason they are there is cause some college kid needed some quick cash :)

Yes, she gets a college education and you get another used guitar to hang on the wall of your trailer.

I can see why you'd be happy.

Hey if I can't afford to go to college I might as well try to gather some of the knowledge that may have soaked into their instruments :)

Edit:
I just realized how wrong that sounded considering the College Students life :(

Edited again for spelling

The majority of mine was covered by the VA but I still wore a uniform and live with a handicap now to rate the help. Even after that, I worked 2 jobs to pay the rent and bills and had to take 19 credits a quarter to meet the VA requirements for school and employability after a year (crazy bastards).

It can be done without "mommy and daddy's help" frankly. It's all about desire and will to succeed. There is always a way to work a situation out.

Certainly not mine, if I remember correctly.

Nor does it improve my driving skill as I use to insist all the time when I was a kid.

We don't really have college over here, but I guess the closest thing would be the university. I don't think it costs any money though. You have to pay for the books and such, but not for the classes.

Heck, as long as you're registered as a student the government will pay you a monthly check of around $200-500 (depending on where you live and with whom).

Basically the government pays us to study. Crazy bastards.
