Youtube is dying!!!Follow

#1 Nov 01 2007 at 7:08 PM Rating: Decent
Not really, but is anyone else having problems playing youtube video's in full screen mode right now? I click the little full screen icon thingy that usually makes it go full screen and it does nothing. I already uninstalled and reinstalled the newest versions of flash and java. *sigh* This is really strange, and without being able to watch my youtube video's I might stop lurking and actually start posting. This could have catastrophic results.

Why would you watch a Youtube video in Full Screen? Isn't it very blurry?

Seriousbusiness, I say this for your sake. Don't use youtube for anime.

Torrents will get you the best quality. If you have some issue with that, then there are much better streaming sites than youtube. Sites with much better quality and where they no not break episodes up into 8-10 minute sections.

I'm all ears. Do tell. Torrents are higher quality, yes, but you have to download them, and they take up space. I'm just to lazy for it. But as for streaming sites better than youtube. Fill me in.

Veoh.com or Dailymotion.com both allow for full episode streams and tend to have a little better quality. At the very least their full screens still work.

For example: Bleach 144

Ohh cool. Yeah, dailymotion isn't giving me any episodes of bleach but Veoh looks pretty good. It seems to be lagging a tiny bit but it's probably just my outdated PC. Thanks for the links, i'll probably watch bleach on Veoh till youtube is back up. Much appreciated.

my favorite for anime... it's video player doesn't typically run on internet explorer, but what kind of n00b uses Internet Explorer These days?

it only has newer episodes of bleach, and I think most of that narutard crap.

also has the first 4 eps of shakugan no shana season 2 and the first 4 eps of the new Mobile Suit Gundam Series!

But their search system kind of sucks, so good luck finding what you're looking for without following a direct link (Like what was on good ol' tv-links. ;_;)

I know this is a pretty old thread (Two days seems like forever in the OOT) but which Gundam series? The one that just launched in Japan? I can't seem to get it to work on my PC.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the one that just launched in Japan at the beginning of October. It's pretty different though...it doesn't feel like Gundam to me...BUT it's also the first Gundam Series I've watched that wasn't dubbed.

I'm sure most who have seen it would agree though, it has a very different feel about it...it seem much more "realistic" in certain areas.

edit: in reponse to stubs, there ARE anime that I would see as
"meant for grownups" but most of the time they seem more "for all ages"

The majority of anime seem to have "storylines" and a continuity of episodes. I see this as more appealing to adults, where American cartoons like Spongebob - typically revolve around toilet humor, bright colors, and little to no continuity.

I'm not putting words in anybody's mouth. Every single time I legitimately ask someone what makes them attracted to anime, the most common answer is "it's like cartoons, but for grownups". I'm just quoting the response I always get. And **** you too. Smiley: nod

If you're actually looking for Bleach, this be the link.

Not all the episodes are there though, but there's quite a few.
