Some cheerleaders had noticed that the banner didn't have any holes in it, which would allow the boys to break through. Kaltschmidt took matters into her own hands.

When she was hit, the recently elected homecoming queen was wearing her tiara. "It got tangled up in my ponytail. My sister came over and got it out," Kaltschmidt said. "It survived."

So basically girl goes to put holes in banner, team doesn't get memo. Girl gets ran over, only worries about her tiara surviving and not the fact she could be killed. Sadly I don't see why the banner needed holes to begin with, I would think 200 pound lineman could plow through paper with ease.

Wow.
I started to really laugh once they started to repeat the same part when she gets like tackled by the team, over and over again.

It is all about the paper.

I was the art dude within my class...and the cheerleaders sucked more balls then you can count (and they were bad at art). So who got stuck doing the banner for the football games...
Well not me, that stuff was gay.

But my youngest brother is the star of his Jr. Football team, and my wacky mother just has to be all "i'm a football mom who is nuts!" kinda mom.
So i did have to make the banners (well the templates used) for them.

Newsprint paper, super thin right?

If no small holes were added, or small pre-rips, the kids couldn't make it thought the paper lol.
And these kids are in the 8th grade, even the big dudes would bounce back.

But i thought all high school moved onto already made banners that were plastic and velcrowed(sp) together so they could be re-used thus saving the school a few bucks not having to buy big rolls of paper for banners ...

She was in the cross hairs of a 6-foot-2, 245-pound linebacker, but Kaltschmidt had the presence of mind to cover herself nanoseconds before impact.

I'm sure...
