I think only parts of my house are hunted.
Mainly the basement.
My parents built the house we live in, and he have lived in it for about 13yrs i think (its been a long time).

My room was moved to the basement when my 2 younger brothers got old enough that they each needed their own room.
I said I'd go to the basement.

My room has been down there for 5years now.

back when i was in the 8th grade i had a few friends stay over.
It was my cousin (a year younger), his neighbor (both our friend, a year older) and me.
We decided to sleep on the couches (at the time we had 3) in the basement.
We had stayed up watching random thing on TV, we all fell asleep. So the TV was never turned off.

I awoke suddenly to the Bar Chairs, near the bar, spining. When they spin (due to them being old, parents bought the Bar and the "bar" set from one of their friends who was moving and said they could buy it) they sqweek.
I didn't look up, i just thought maybe it was the other 2 sitting..maybe drinking.
So i said "what are you guys doing?"

The sound stopped... but nothing was said back.
So i looked over to the bar...in my line of sight were the other 2 couches...with 2 sleeping dudes.
And no one at the Bar.
The TV was still on but on a Static Channel, when i went to turn the TV off, it snapped back to the channel it was on before we feel asleep.
I didn't hit a button, or touch the TV.

I've had other encounters sleeping near that bar, and sounds and smells to awake me.

Current stuff...

My bed use to rest up against the one real wall i have. Most night, you can placed your hand on the wall, and also listened well, you could hear something scratching and breathing at the wall. You could also feel it too.

On the other side of that wall is just a book case.

A lot of weird stuff happens down there. I think it is because my mother likes to collect junk...From houses that had family members/friends die in them.

I haven't got one of my own, so I'll tell an amusing one about a colleague of mine.

While working down in Chile Bill's excavation team came across a very well preserved desert mummy. On the first night they found it they wheeled it into the Botany lab on a gurney because it was the driest tent out there. Bill was working late to finish a report that night and was the only one in the tent. That night all sorts of poltergeist stuff was going on, like papers getting knocked over, samples being flung around, and the like.

Finally Bill got fed up with it and he yells at the mummy "If you don't knock that sh*t off I'm going to wheel you right over to the excavation tent!" When the poltergeist stuff doesn't stop, Bill does exactly what he said he was going to do and wheeled the mummy out to the excavation tent. After that the lab was all nice and calm and Bill finished his report. The next day the rest of the team found the mummy in the excavation tent and were all extremely confused as to how it got there until Bill showed up and explained.

Ok I've lived in a Haunted house. Here is my story.
Back when I finished my first year of college I came home to find that my parents had sold the home I grew up in. They had plans to move into the Rental home my father had. It was an old brick home on a hill. It had outside walk down stairs to the basement. Infact it still had the old coal bin in the basement. It was a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms. Two up and one downstairs on the main floor.
My father decided to employe me to paint the house and fix it up inside. I found out soon that the work was way to much for just me. So I got permission to have a Highschool friend help me. So we started up stairs and worked down till we got to the basement. I went to get us lunch. My friend Bob was down painting the basement. When I arrived with the food Bob was standing in the front porch with a "Wild look in his eyes". I walked up and handed him his Sub sandwich. He looked at me shaking and said
"There's something in the basement."
"What did you see?" I asked.
"A Ghost with bright red eyes! I'm never going back in that house again!" he remarked. Bob then ran off!
I was rather suprised and didnt know what to do I went and checked the house and found nothing. Later I asked my father about the Ghost Bob had seen.
"Yea, Several of the renters claimed to have seen a Ghost." he replied.

I called Bob and asked him what happened.
"I was painting in the Coal bin when I could feel something was in the room. Then I saw it! Those Eyes!" he said.
I went back down in the basement the next day and finding nothing I finished painting. Nothing happened. Later my parents and I moved in. Summer passed and nothing. I went to college and my sisters each spent time in the house. Throughout college I spent time in the house durring christmass and spring break and a couple of summers.
It was the Spring break of my senior year of college. Parents were in florida and I was left watching the house. It was the first weekend of the vacation.
My bed room was up stairs. Normally I sleep with the door slightly open so our dogs can come and go from the room. I woke up with a chill running down my spine! The door was wide open to my room and at the foot of my bed was this Dark figure with Red eyes! It vanished out the door. I jumped up with a start.
Running out and then checking the house. I found nothing.
I talked to each of my sisters and they both claimed to have seen the same ghost. Both of them Refuse to stay in the house. Spring break over I left for my last bit of college. Both my Mother and Father never saw a thing.

I spent the nesxt summer at the house. Mom and Dad were now in their new lake house and I was house sitting. About the middle of the Summer I again woke up with a chill. I looked at the end of my bed and nothing. I turned my head to the right and bout hit the celing. I looked at the same Ghost as before only it was standing fight next to my bed. I'd say bout a foot from me. Again it darted out the door. I finally told my parents that I just cant stay at the house. I then moved in with them at the lake house.

Dad finally decided to build his new house on the same spot as the old farm house. He sold the house to another party that moved it about 2 blocks away and set it on a new foundation. Two years pass and the moved house completely burnes up on the inside. No one was killed but it didn't do any harm to the house just burned up all the contents. The Owner redid the home. Exactly one year later on the same day the home burned again the same way!
Haunted? Dam right it was!
